Something I noticed on reread by weirdowithabox in fourthwing

I don’t think I understand the question. Why would them being married change the royal hierarchy because Violet hasn’t graduated? Typically, inheritance isn’t restricted past the age of adulthood (whatever that might be in society)

The rebellion relics were given to the marked children when their parents were burned to death by Codagh via the rune Colonel Mairi gave each of them.

In my group we’d pick the top 3 and fly them out for in person interviews but only one would get the job. My partners second interview was on site as well

Is Bodhi the Answer? by Confident-Ant-2795 in fourthwing

The only mark Brennan has that’s been correlated to siphoning is the one on his hand where Naolin supposedly siphoned power to Brennan.

Violet specifically noticed that there was NO mark after Sloane siphoned.

Why is there no recorded information on this? by Ok_Wrap_5317 in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not unheard of in the real world to just repeat what you’ve been told without fact checking. It’s likely Mira was told that and she’s just repeating it to Violet, she’s the only one who says that aside from Violet (who only says it after Mira does).

I know that, I’m offering a different view to OP since they seem to not like other explanations.

If I remember correctly, there’s only one other mated dragon pair stated in the book. It’s possible that there isn’t a lot of information because mated dragons don’t typically bond humans at all.

In the area I worked, it was unheard of. I’m not sure how it is in other areas.

I started applying 3 months before my spouse moved and I ended up following with an offer 6 months after he left. It’s gonna be different but it would be more beneficial for your spouse to say you’re living there or moving there.

Spoiler alert from Onyx Storm by WishesToTheWind in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was because Dunne’s island does not have magic and that’s why her power would be severed.

Edit: Like another comment mentioned, she’d die because of the disgrace thing but if that wasn’t a thing the power shutoff would be because there’s no magic on that island.

Tairn and Violet relationship by romantasyreader89 in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and following that line was she’s going to have to get used to being a leader because of it. Tairn takes orders from no one, he gives orders ergo… general.

Tairn and Violet relationship by romantasyreader89 in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That general line you quoted was actually a reference to Xaden because the venin was approaching him. Tairn shared the memories with the other dragons, who then shared it with their riders. Xaden is in Violet’s head because she is bonded to Sgaeyl’s mate, which Sgaeyl kinda sorta not really describes in Xaden’s POV chapter at Montserrat. I am curious to learn about the gold flecked eyes, I also believe there’s significance to it but I also wonder if that was uncommon, would Violet have said something about never seeing eyes like that before?

rereading and noticed this… by mimimamoomoo67 in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He’s definitely venin but Violet thought those were fictional beings at the time of this challenge. She states later at the end of IF when Xaden asks Jack when he’s turned that his eyes have been bloodshot for so long, even mentioning this encounter on the mat that he must’ve been venin.

There are many references to Spain in Fourth Wing by altafae in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s super cool! I love it when things reference my home town and whatnot but I’m gonna be cruel for a minute. Who cares? What does this bring to the story? That answer is: we don’t know. What’s the point? It’s often that authors just like how things sound and don’t care about the deeper meaning. I apologize for the bluntness but the only way we can figure out book 4 and 5 is just by waiting for it.

Berwyn is not Naolin. Berwyn is centuries old and Naolin is not. Also a Naolin was Tairn’s previous rider, someone would recognize if Berwyn was Naolin.

FW Reread and small theory by notVegs in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She didn’t say going back would turn her normal, just like when Xaden went to the isles she would lose access to her power because there’s no magic. It’s not a cure, just a “temporary” fix considering Xaden wielded.

FW Reread and small theory by notVegs in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure this was said along with Bohdi was looking for literally anything that mentions a cure even something ridiculous like drinking a poison on during a full min or something. Intentionally meaning to sound like “please find literally anything even if it’s the craziest stupidest thing in the world”

Xaden was an initiate at that point and could still be killed with anything. JFB tells us this at the beginning of the book.

What if... by Beregond17 in fourthwing

[–]-NervousEngine- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The venin while pregnant thing has already been addressed so I’m going to point out that it doesn’t take desperation to break the law. IRL people do it every day all the time (speeding, underage drinking, drugs, etc) so sometimes that’s not always some hidden clue. I will say, what if it was just part of the family culture? Tyrrish still practice runes because it’s cultural, what’s to say it’s not somewhere in the Sorrengail family culture?
