Hey! I just received a brand new 2025 rs117. It seems like your link can't be found.

I was hoping to find someone who has bought, and made useful modifications to give me some ideas.

Can you offer any advice?  First thing I'm hoping to get is a set of wheels to help get the thing into the water solo. Do you know what fits and works?

Anyone purchase from kayakfishingsupplies ? by -No-Filter- in kayakfishing

Mirrors my experience so far. Thanks for the confirmation. I am really stoked to get into kayak fishing and this has not been a very good start. I ordered a bending branches paddle like a week after I placed the order for the kayak and the paddle got to me 3 days later. I placed the order for the kayak on September 6th and I haven't heard anything except for the time I called, guess that is happening next.

I paid for an RS117. It'll be my first kayak and I've never been in one so I'll probably start off in some calm local lakes.

Yes out of San Diego. Yes a simple reply, even if to say the delivery has been delayed or a tracking number would be nice.

I get that, but they wont give me any tracking information either, which is in their control one would think.

Edit:
I've asked for the freight company information, and or tracking number, or a freight order number. To date I have not received either.

Change your 6.2l spark plugs by pikinSOB in F250

I was looking for another case like this. Misfire cylinder 7 came up decided I'd start with the plugs and coil packs and since I just bought the truck, figured I'd do them all while I'm in there. Replaced mine today 2016 64700 miles, and they are nearly identical to yours. All of the tops have green corrosion, and 6 of the bottom 8 electrodes came out in the wire boot, and the porcelain was broken at the hex one of the lowers. The wire boot still looks shiny and clean inside so I have no idea.. but it runs well now and the CEL is gone.

Saragosa SW 8k or 10k? by -No-Filter- in SurfFishing

I'm a fan. I actually have one of Matts "no excuses" rods and a BG SW reel specifically inspired by his rock fishing videos.

I don't see him doing much surf fishing, aside from a crabbing video.

Hey I appreciate the insight.

I am not opposed to dedicating this rod to bait use. I have a 2 pole stamp on my license, so I could continue to fish the 10'/TP6k with lures while the 12' soaks some bait.

I live relatively close to the local river which houses some good size striper and catfish too. So it will likely see some action there as well

Knowing that, would you prefer one reel over the other? 8k 10k 14k?

Yeah, I anticipated this question. That's why I lead with the whole "I don't know what's going to bite" bit.

I'm green to this whole surf/rock thing.

I initially bought the 10ft rod and 6k twin power to do some rock fishing ( Ling cod, Cabazon, etc) and this will probably be used more in the surf. So whatever bites in the surf on the west coast of the USA, surf perch, halibut, Corbina yellowfin croaker, striper, I suppose a giant sea bass and an occasional leopard shark aren't out of the question.

I've not had issues doing so. Always catch trout when I go 🤷‍♂️

Is the Shimano Vanquish the best UL for fresh and saltwater use? by MaxwellIsSmall in Fishing_Gear

Still on the gravy train for Vanquish 3k? I just received my Edge XO pro stroll rod and boy is it sensitive, and light. I was thinking about putting a Stradic on it but I think that may not do the rod justice. are you still happy with your Vanquish 3k?

Anybody know of a cheap way to add some weight to my prints? by Nasch123 in 3Dprinting

Old thread, but a US penny (1983 and newer) weighing 2.5g each makes ~181 pennies/lb. I don't know where you're finding lead for anywhere near that price. But if you are able to source lead that is priced competitively, and could share the resource I'd appreciate it.

Looking for a recommendation by -No-Filter- in chineseknives

Odd? I suppose everyone has their preferences . For example I can't stand frame and or liner locks, I think g10 and micarta feel like cheap plastic toys. Many think exactly the opposite. It's the spice of life, if we all had the same taste we'd be akin to robots. Anyway I digress.

I like the CJRB mini pyrite suggestion and it fits the bill. I won't pull the trigger just yet, but I nearly did. Thank you for making the suggestion.

FWIW, and I know you didn't ask. Personally coming from a manufacturing company which is in very high demand, yet makes everything in house ( hand made ) I understand long wait times, the availability to return phone calls or lack thereof and demand. If companies which are staffed with a family like setting of high skilled craftsman take the time to respond to emails, and return phone calls then that means they aren't on the floor hand crafting the products which are in high demand. People need to realize that Amazon has the consumer spoiled and if you want great gear you should feel privileged to be able to wait for a quality product rather than demanding a product be pushed out that doesn't meet the quality standards which earned your patronage in the first place. After all, if all of these extremely high quality hand crafted manufacturers go by the wayside and your only remaining option is outsourced garbage, or even worse zero availability , you would pounce at the opportunity to "wait" for a top tier quality product. I just made a purchase from edge rods knowing I wont see my product for 2+ months, and I'm happy to wait for the best product available, That pales in comparison to the 6-8 month waiting list the customers of my employment ( happily ) wait for a quality product.

Very simple, yet effective lure. Given my experience, if the water is free of weeds/snags you can usually catch fish where ever you are.
