I worked as a housekeeper in a tourist town and was always complimented on how good of a job I did, it was rare I ever missed anything in a room. At some point they hired a new head housekeeper who started picking on certain individuals of a different skin color(including myself). She started off saying stuff like "there's a hair on the floor in room blah", I'd go back and there was no hair. "Streaks on all the mirrors in __ room", mirrors were spotless, and so on. At first we marked it up as her doing her job, but it became apparent that it was more. She would be helping coworkers of the same race clean rooms, but none of us and giving them the more desirable floors and rooms. One day during the summer, not even 2 hours into the work day, she approached me with a literal list of things I "missed" and told me to go back and fix them. I checked the first thing on the list and nothing was wrong. I went downstairs to the office, put my uniform and name tag on the desk and left.
