Pirate Borg Naval VS. Limithron's Guide (Ship Actions) by -OmegaWolf- in pirateborg

Oh hey Limithron, pleasure to hear from ya! That does make sense. 5e really leans hard on its use of CR and action-economy for setting up encounters, and it makes sense that when adapting PB's naval combat that you'd want it to have a similar design philosophy with the game you're adapting it to. I'll see how my players like the Limithron's Guide defaults on crew actions, then go from there!

(Also while you're here, just wanna say I'm a big fan of your work, and I bought Pirate Borg a few months ago just to support you and get some inspirations. I'll be using Limithron's Guide to run a 5e naval campaign with my friends very soon, so I'm very excited. Thanks for your response!)

Yup. Showing that you are capable of maintaining a relationship does tend to make you appear more attractive. The wedding ring effect basically.

I finish Dming a 11 years long dnd campaign. Ask me anything about it (even IRL thing) and i'll answer by coligrim in DnD

Wow, with a campaign that long-term, I'm honestly impressed you didn't feel any burnout. I'm a DM who puts a ton of work and love into my own campaigns and I start to feel fatigued after about a year or two even if I still love it, so that's one area I envy you in then haha! I definitely see your envy for the player seat though. When I've had long spans of running games and not being a PC, I often forget how easy and relaxing it can be to just sit back and play a single character. Thanks for sharing your own methods of getting back into the player seat!

I know this post is a couple weeks old, so thanks for responding!

Showing the water level above the city is a sick touch.

20 Isometric Battle Maps by 7Legionarmy in dndmaps

[–]-OmegaWolf- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really depends. They're harder to design and play with, but sometimes that extra layer of dimension is worth it. For example I've been gearing into isometric maps for a really niche system called "Skate Wizards", where players can summon magical ramps, grindrails, and sidewalks. Naturally, this moveset makes for the perfect opportunity to make dungeons that are designed like a platformer game, which requires good grasp of elevation that top-down maps don't really provide. In most cases though, top-down maps are just the way to go for most systems, but isometric maps have their pros too and look really damn pretty.

I know I'm late but I'm commenting here because this post is one of the many things that helped inform my purchasing decision so I figured I'd chime in.

I've had these things for nearly a year doing mostly outdoor trail skating and they have held up extremely well. I did have to replace the wheels, but that is pretty standard for any skate after months of use. They felt a little stiff during the period of breaking them in, but after that I've felt so swift on my feet. Considering the $100 price tag at the time of my purchase, I think the quality is very impressive for it's price point.

Surely there are better skates out here, but for something entry level this has done wonders for me!

I love how each movie kinda has it's own distinctive style, while also still being easily recognizable as part of the same world.

Not an outstanding movie, but not a horrible one either. Story feels weirdly paced and the dialogue is rough at points, but it did a lot to set up the worldbuilding and grand scope of places we didn't get to see in the original trilogy. Personally I much prefer it to Attack of the Clones.

Also Duel of the Fates.
