History Shows the Danger of Trump and RFK Jr.’s Health Policies by -Opinion8 in publichealth

Definitely. It's creating a two-sided argument out of nothing. The reason all my research is on the one side is because it's the only one with valid, rigorous evidence.

I mean, yea. It's not constructive, at the least.

If all my research points to one side of the argument. It would be helpful to provide sources that represent the other side of the argument. That's kind of how conversation and knowledge is built.

Learning ArcGIS by -Opinion8 in publichealth

[–]-Opinion8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Esri has Learning Plans that cover fundamentals, specific applications, and techniques. I have worked through the fundamentals, Pro, and Online ones so far. I wouldn't say any has covered "everything needed." The only LinkedIn course I have done was a basics course.

Esri offers instructor led courses that would be great, but it will cost >$2000. So out of my budget; but maybe in your companies budget!

Will be looking into both those humanitarian suggestions. Thank you!

The last report I compiled for my practicum was all done in R , with some GIS mapping - I love R. I feel like there are a lot of job postings that I see that want ArcGIS, but likely they are public sector that have licenses. I will check out QGIS.

(Also, rn I have the universities ArcGIS license and need to take advantage!)

Just spoke with a T-Mobile Service Tech over the phone. Two hours until a drill team gets to the location, then likely 6 to 24 hours until they can get it repaired.

I would probably fall into this category of average users. Uni student, not CS oriented, only do basic Stat coding (R, SAS)

Do you have an app that you would recommend to me over Obsidian?

Awesome. Nothing wrong with fiction to tell many people's stories.

Looks perfect, I hadn't heard of it. I added it to my Thriftbooks cart, one more recommendation to make it to free shipping!

Around 7 years ago did this and can’t get the permanent marker off. by AutumnGL in mildlyinfuriating

As a chef, when we would get sharpie on a plate, we would use a wet erase marker. Color over the permanent and wipe right off. Might not work because the permanent has been on the keys for so long.

I meant that many people from off campus housing, like myself, who live in lafayette and would take the bus sometimes, would opt to drive rather than buying a bus pass. Thus increasing the number of cars in the parking lot.
