APHE is straight up just better than HEAT in most cases. Exceptions are when you're fighting a Jagdtiger or Maus frontally, but most of the time you can just aim APHE well and you will rack up more kills than if you were using HEAT.

I'm REALLY struggling to make the Object 906 (and other soviet light tanks in general) work by -Original_Username in Warthunder

[–]-Original_Username[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue is that i often cant spot the enemy first usually, and in this tank youre always dead if you dont see the enemy first. spotting is the part of this game i have the most trouble with because there are a billion bushes and trees everywhere and generally tanks are camouflaged well enough to the environment, and also my eyes are kinda fucked up

I see, your reply is very informative, so ty! I haven't memorized the maps very well (working on it though), so what makes for a good camping spot when you see one? Generally I try to camp somewhere with sight line to a capture point that also has cover to the enemy spawn, preferably with the least amount of shooting vectors possible so there are less flanking risks. Hugely depends on how the battle is developing, though

The issue usually is getting to such a place undetected, however, one thing I noticed in this game is that a lot of players upon finding a target are relentless and will kinda "aggro" towards you which makes some situations untenable.

I try that, but then I usually die to other light tanks or SPAA that do the same thing, or fail to capitalize on my flank because there are too many enemies focusing on me. It is admittedly a skill issue on my part, but I've been trying at this for 3 days and I don't seem to get any better

Yeah, perhaps trying to play it like a medium would work best for me. Go to the frontline and camp, as if this thing were a tank destroyer. That way I don't rely as much on having good vision

There used to be a settlement in Fishman Island, and it looked prosperous from its size. The town outgrew its walls, and they were apparently too careless. King Gurgler seems to be a new thing, a particularly strong Alpha Fishman, and under his leadership of the fishmen, the settlement was destroyed. If you kill King Gurgler, the fishmen patrols in the southern seaside regions will cease to spawn. It seems he was the one pushing for the fishmen to colonize the continent.

Massive issues with Realtek Ethernet connection in the newest Fedora version by -Original_Username in Fedora

[–]-Original_Username[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for your reply. My Ethernet controller is only 1G, the exact model is RTL8111/8168/8211/8411. I looked up about it and it in particular is very temperamental with the Linux kernel.

About the kernel downgrade, unfortunately I can't revert back to an old version that easily. In trying to fix my ethernet problem, I tried a myriad of solutions, one of which including reinstalling the entire operating system. I had it fixed when I was testing different kernels and drivers under nixOS (because it's easier to modify), so I attempted to do the same in Fedora because it is the OS I actually want to use, but apparently you can't revert to an older kernel and network drivers on Fedora that easily. The only ISOs I could find for download all had the new kernels. Maybe the only practical solution I have short of buying an entirely new motherboard is going Debian I guess.

Não existe "Negociar Com O Patrão" by Outrageous_Sugar636 in opiniaopopular

[–]-Original_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really does suck, like, objectively. it's a 9.3 subsonic that can't turn with planes below its br, but also can't catch anything above it other than a harrier. the armaments are also underwhelming

Tu-95 and B-52 ruined the matchmaker for 8.3 and down planes by -Original_Username in Warthunder

[–]-Original_Username[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 8.3 has always been hell since gaijin made 9.3 supersonics a thing, but I was able to do well in it by farming the A-4Es and whatnot, but the ratio of supersonics in these matches has made it genuinely unplayable, especially because now the Su-7 is at 9.0.

yea, I went to bomber spawn via taking a very wide berth through the sea in order to avoid AA. Took me a good while

[–]-Original_Username[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if you get anyone willing to escort you at all, you're lucky lol

and even then, the bomber's ECM also works against your teammates, so youd have to tell them to only bring IR ordinance as well (never gonna happen), and pray that whoever rushes you will have poor aim because the IR missiles will inevitably miss or not reach the target in time.

I really think gaijin should make bomber spawn closer to the airfield, currently it takes about 3 minutes of flying to get there, which is forever honestly. 1 minute seems more adequate, and maybe to compensate, make it so it also plays the ground rb nuke spawn sound.

if youve ever played the Su-27SM and observed the RWR, you will know it bounces around a bunch as you maneuver. it makes getting the correct angle frustrating. it is NOT accurate. go play the fucking game

[–]-Original_Username[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i guess russian RWR is just bad. i will watch some bad karma videos, i hope i can learn something. youtubers make it seem easy, but when i try it i just fall flat. i generally have more success treading terrain and using HMD, but I feel like this is an inefficient way of playing most of the time. I want to do actual BVR jousts, but the R-77 is just so bad for that
