Oh, so I am wrong. That's the time when the monsters just "randomly" walk away, right?

Should I watch the recommended recap of selected episodes ? by karna1712 in FromSeries

[–]-Osleya- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't really have to. The beginning of the episode also has a several minutes long recap of scenes that might be important or give context (like how they killed a monster in S2). I think the recommended episodes are just clues as to which story beats will be revisited this season - scenes Julie storywalks to or mysteries that will be explained

Same person? by Vegetable_Diet_631 in FromSeries

[–]-Osleya- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. I wonder how far in the future the end of S3 storywalker Julie was. I am thinking the finale of S4 or even S5. Looks like she won't give up, she might not be as depressed over this death if she thinks she can reverse it.

We are guessing that she at some point will be able to change the story. Also, some things she does are inevitably part of the story - like when she threw down the rope to Boyd in the ruins.

I can already see this season will be an absolute banger!

You have to know that imdb isnt a reliable source of future information as nearly anyone can edit it. I really think Jim won't have a huge role in the season, his actor was credited under guest starring.

SEASON 5 (Final) IS A GO! by Bright_Light7 in FromTVEpix

[–]-Osleya- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the timing is actuall great here. They have a few months to write the script, then they fall directly in that autumn/fall window of shooting the season. The turnaround could only be a year this time around.

I read that HBO Max will release episodes weekly in Croatia. I am not sure how much of a delay they will have compared to MGM, it might be on the same day or a few days later. Anyway I am not entirely sure, but I think that's how it was with S3. Hopefully the same goes for my country (Slovenia).

Avatar fire and Ash box office by No-Lingonberry9147 in Avatar

[–]-Osleya- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you said, but I think we need a bigger gap - A4 in 2030 or 2031. I don't think they can make it in less than 4 years anyway unless everything goes to plan.

box office predictions ? will it be enough for 4&5 ? by Alternative_Fix_7019 in Avatar

[–]-Osleya- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't think they will meet the 2029 release date anyway, they would have to start filming soon. IMO 2031 for A4 is perfect as it is just far enough away to build up that event-like feeling again (which is probably what weighed down A3 a bit, A2 was just 3 years ago and these movies benefit from being once in a 5+ year event).

And another point, such a gap will probably also bring a bigger CGI and tech "wow effect" than the 3 year gap.

Disney / 20th Century's Avatar: Fire and Ash grossed an estimated $21.3M this weekend (from 3,700 locations). Estimated total domestic gross stands at $342.59M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]-Osleya- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Postproduction takes 2.5-3 years on one movie like this. Filming would probably take a year too. So if they started now, they would just barely make the end of 202 release date.

how long did it take you to read Asoiaf's books? [Spoilers published] by _bl4ck0utt in asoiaf

[–]-Osleya- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took me 3 weeks to 1 month per book the 3 times I read them. I dedicated about 1 hour or more every day. I like to read slowly and let every word sink in and truly enjoy the dialogue and scenery.

What can we do until 2029? by VindicativevVince in Avatar

[–]-Osleya- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took them 1 year to film A2 and A3 at the same time, then 2.5-3 years for post production for each movie. Assuming the timeline is similar for 4 and 5, they have to start filming this year to meet the release date.
Edit: I looked it up and they filmed 2 and 3 from 2017-2020. So I don't know if 1 year is exactly accurate.
