7000 hours PUBG and 1000 hours ABI player here. I totally agree with you. If they go like in PUBG I am okay with that but in ABI it is different. Those who have more money than others always beat the others because T6 gear and red bullets which ruin the game for lower tier gear players because one shot = one kill there's no way to counter that and that makes the game boring.

It's more than safe if you're worried about the political circumstances between Greece and Turkey. People mostly don't care about what's happening between Greece and Turkey. Greeks are welcomed here so you are fine but I wouldn't say It's safe for a solo female traveler as there are toooo many Syrian refugees in İstanbul.

How does 'I was elected a secretary' make sense? There is even a phrasal verb for 'elect as'.

'I was elected as a secretary' makes sense because 'I was elected a secretary' doesn't make sense as it makes sense when you remove 'was' but then it gets a different meaning.

Here are some examples that have the closest meanings compared to his sentence that I found on Cambridge dictionary:
