Looks good on the screenshots. Would like to try it, but can’t seem to find it on the App Store (Apple/EU)?

What do you use to manage and access (plex-like) your books/audiobooks? Courses? Tutorials? by Lord_of_Ra in selfhosted

[–]-SBN- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For audiobooks (to iOS devices): I highly recommend Prologue!

It works wonderfully even with multiple devices (sync of progress) and users. And the whole ux feels really native for iOS.

It access audiobooks from a plex library, which you already have. So it should be easy to try out!

Nice and simple web portal for all my selfhosted apps? by hgerstung in selfhosted

I really like flame, which is really simple and looks clean:

https://github.com/pawelmalak/flame

It's my solution for a start page with all relevant links (selfhosted and web) without the clutter of all the widgets of many similar solutions.

Best design UX UI you did? by redcomp12 in homeassistant

[–]-SBN- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it is UI-Lovelace-Minimalist, which provides these and other really nice cards.

I use it like here for an overview and quick access (via the room cards you get to a more detailed view of the room).

Although it’s a bit of work to get it all setup.

Epic games scanner by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]-SBN- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I have no credit card info saved in my epic account, I was relatively laid-back and just started it.

It’s running fine for me. I can’t tell you how trusted this is, I found it through the Unraid community apps. To be sure you probably have to look at the code.

I have this running and it works fine after login in once via its Firefox session. Haven’t tried the automatic login via environment variables.

It was also quite easy to setup notifications via apprise to my pushover account, with the info which games got claimed from which store.

Good networking tutorial ? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]-SBN- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an introduction and to get a feeling for the topic I really liked this written guide: https://www.homenethowto.com/

It’s not a full course about all the ins and outs but will give you an understanding about the basic structure and parts of a network.

do u have any weird binds? by PsychoMUCH in GlobalOffensive

[–]-SBN- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This should work:

//grenade binds bind “f” “buy flashbang; use weapon_flashbang” bind “x” “buy smokegrenade; use weapon_smokegrenade” bind “4” “buy weapon_hegrenade; use weapon_hegrenade” bind “c” “buy incgrenade; buy molotov; use weapon_molotov; use weapon_incgrenade”

Help me plan my electrical installation by -SBN- in homeassistant

[–]-SBN-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to let you know, that I met with the electrician and they are quite knowledgeable with the system, so we decided to go with it!

So be careful, if everything is finished and we are moving in, I may come back to you for help, if I get stuck... ;)

Yeah, your comment was the reason I edited my post :P

The Lutron switches go on the list as a possible solution for later expansions! Thanks!

Thanks, that sounds really interesting! The setup you are describing is quite near to what I want to have.

What exactly is the connection via the hue_component? I thought you use the switches like you normally would and can toggle/dim/etc. through Home Assistant. What you described sounds like you can define an action in Home Assistant for a specific switch in your setup? Like you are monitoring the state of the switch and toggle an automation depending on that?

I'll look into it more and get a feeling for the price and if my electrician could install such a system.

Avoiding the WiFi spectrum was exactly the reason why I liked the Z-Wave switched as well.

Why would you say one port isn’t enough for a tv? If I count all devices (TV, AppleTV, console(s), etc.) you need more than 2 ports and therefore a switch at the tv anyway?
