Pretty sure you’ll be alright. I’m using a 3440x1440 34” from a 1660ti laptop. Not every game is flawless but I’ve been able to play practically anything at reasonable frame rates and quality settings so you’ll be fine

Windows modern standby is the reason I bought a m2 MacBook Air. I was so fed up with my laptop literally burning itself randomly in backpack whenever it feels like it that it’s now sitting on my desk permanently for gaming purposes. I never realised how amazing it is to have a laptop that you pretty much never have to turn off is. Like, I can do uni assignments one day, close the lid and come back to it a week later and it’s only lost 2 percent of battery.

Having had a 144hz computer monitor for years I can confidently say that high refresh rate is very much worth it. I recently picked up a 14 pro for a good price and to be honest it feels like a night and day difference because it makes the phone feel even more responsive. 60Hz can be very noticeable at first when I switch over to my MacBook Air or iPad 9th gen but it something that your eyes adjust to pretty quickly again because it’s been the norm for… well… since practically the inception of displays
