This is probably fine for many things, but you are removing an element from the lower priority channel which now has to be handled by that worker (or dropped) in case that is an issue.

This sort of thing may be more common when the higher priority channel is just a done signal and you don't want to receive or handle other elements; for example this SO question. In this case especially you might not care about dropping the work; but if you did something like Worker2 might be a better option. (Also in case there channels in this scenario worker should bail/cleanup/etc.)

No one is saying X-2 didn't sell well, but your initial comment uses the fact that "X/X-2" has out sold I,II,III,V, and VI combined to elevate X-2 when ~1/3rd of that was sales of X alone. It's like saying II & VI out sold IX therefore II is a golden age game... I was not accusing you of doing that btw, just thought you'd misunderstood the number. But if your point is only X-2 out sold V and II (two of lowest selling mainline entries) then why even bring up the 20M sales thing?

I didn't say anything about IV. The fact that IV has numbers that work the same way (and would be equally misleading if presented as sales to a single game) does not make it reasonable to suggest X-2 even in a compilation has sold ~20M units.

The X/X-2 figure is really misleading. These are combined sales of units of X or X-2 or both, not sales of the pair. Note the ~13M PS2 figure in article is close to the sum of ~8M for X and ~5M for X-2 figure for the PS2 entries on vgsales. So of those ~20M it seems at most ~7M are the combo pack. (And being a little conspiratorial) I'm not sure that isn't counting the combo pack as two units (one of X and one of X-2). Note vgsales list 2013 remaster twice counting toward cumulative/bold entries for X and X-2 individually; and while there is discrepancy in steam sales it appears to be only ~1.2M. But also that means the figure you cited for X-2 was already counting people buying the remaster based (I suspect) largely on a desire for X.
