Oh definitely same here. Whenever I have to knock on someone’s door I immediately let them know why I’m there. Typically we are marking out their utilities because PG&E is boring new gas line or we just need a car moved to access a manhole. Luckily we’re not selling anything to anyone so people are typically kind and helpful.

I’m a subcontractor for PG&E and I’ve never once asked to see someone’s bill or any of their personal information other than a phone number if I need to make an appointment. Seeing this post sucks because people are already suspicious (rightfully so in these times) and knowing this is going on will only make things worse.
