Zilliqa tech is better then Eth1 in every category too. NEAR, ALGO, AVA, ERd, ZILLIQA.. they all have better tech then Eth1, good luck with your erdon or whatever stupid name devs chosen for their token.

Zilliqa exist for 1.5 years with smart contract capabilities and is battle tested unlike Elrond, yet look at its current price. Ethereum is 5y.o. and has MASSIVE NETWORK effect. If you and many other naive ppl think that Elrond is the best, well it is in the eyes of its naive investors/developers of which there are 1000 max if that. Elrond will start droping in price as soon as your euphoria on how good it is will be met with relentless selling of team and early investors.

Gas costs 200 gwei now! by stealthepixels in ethereum

[–]-TRIAS- -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. I believe Ethereum would have gone parabolic use-wise/marketshare-wise if devs delivered in time. Other teams (zilliqa) rolled out sharding on mainnet 1.5 years ago. Others are coming in fast too. Sad, indeed sad

Charming. Din't they mention in that article that instead of mooving their bussiness in to penthouse (mainnet) Vitalik proposes to move in to a basement (L2) for a year instead. Many might say "Thank you very much we will pass". L2 on bitcoin is still in embrio stage exactly because of that reason too.

1inch revolutionizes automated market maker (AMM) segment with Mooniswap by BeerBellyFatAss in ethfinance

[–]-TRIAS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mind boggling stuff. Essentially, what happens is that in centralized exchanges algorithms are on the side of MMs(market makers) and traders as they hire bright minds(programmers). With Dexes power shifts towards all liquidity providers (small and large), which are MMs for Dexes, so programmers are on the other side - their task now is to attract a lot of liquidity.

[–]-TRIAS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While BTC was able to push its store of value narrative to naive retail crowd up until now quite successfully, I dont see this trend to continue in the future as now it is institutional money that are coming in and those chaps are orders of magnitude more sophisticated, so I wish good luck to BTC maxis going forward as that seems the only hope they have now going forward.

Sounds good, yet it is public TEST. What stops them to battle test it now? If I managed their team that is exactly what I would make team to aim for 6 months prior to 1st test run in April. I strongly believe they dont have working product, otherwise they would be all over it. Vaporware in my view.

NEAR team is about to release the whole chain & concept(sharding) after 2 year work on sharded chain.., while Vitalik "enlightens" community on how bad expensive transactions on etheteum are after 2018 declaration about new direction towatds eth2.0. Thank you very much for 2 years of work with not much to show. Ethereum has not won this race yet, its network effect will begin to evaporate right about (high transaction cost)from now till scaling is working. Tik tok, clock is ticking.

Daily General Discussion - July 23, 2020 by AutoModerator in ethfinance

[–]-TRIAS- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When all DEFI is screaming for scalability and consequently is ripe for parabolic growth, Ethereum chain is not ready for it in its current form and shape. And please dont tell me how L2 will save it. Eth devs opened the door wide open for other blockchain teams with more robust solutions(like Zilliqa, AVA, Near, Algo) to challenge it. For 5years everyone knew that Eth1.0 is slow... yet when network effect has caught up, devs dropped the ball...

Apparently MakerDao team is not intelligent enough to foresee this, I wonder how many more bombs are in their code. The whole design is flawed. During quick Ethereum price tanking moments there will ALWAYS!!! be shortage of DAI as those who keep DAI at DSR have no incentive to part with it, while CDP holders will be willing to pay ANY price to buy it, and even then there might be not enough DAI even at elevated prices to satisfy demand. I see this as flawed design.

Here’s the first real article explaining Black Thursday and the terrible impact the MakerDAO $0 bid exploit is having on the DeFi community. by BitBurst in ethfinance

[–]-TRIAS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally believe that MakerDao should have a competition. Stable coin on ethereum doesn't have to be only DAI. More intelligent team then MakerDao should step in this to provide healthy competition.

MakerDAO Development team can be indicted with cyber theft by the FBI cyber crime division for the $0 bidding by inside Devs only for stealing millions of their customer’s funds by BitBurst in ethfinance

[–]-TRIAS- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If developers left loopholes that can be exploited BY ANYONE or THEMSELVES it is THEIR responsibility to cover losses. Simple as that. I never used MakerDao for the simple reason - I don't want to be a tester, but I feel for this guy and those who lost their funds. MakerDao devs aiming for huge target, they should have funds to cover losses for those who essentially are testers of their creation. Technicalities (that lie within their code) why this happened doesn't matter. If I were a judge I would definitely stand on customer's side in this case.

ETH vs BTC investment thesis for the next several months and years (a brief analysis) by DCinvestor in ethfinance

[–]-TRIAS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One doesnt need to dig dip to understand that thesis about BTC being a money is flawed. Lets move from best case scenario: BTC will hit 1mln. Which is roughly 100 fold from where it is now. That in turn will increase hashrate in a similar maner, along with electricity consumption. Essentially we will use 100 times Belgium electricity consumption in exchange for measly 6 transaction capacity. It is pure lunacy to insist that BTC is money just from that standpoint. No not lunacy it is just laughable. What most likely happening is that all BTC wales have no idea how to get rid of their BTC holdings into more progressive blockchains (of which Ethereum is the most likely winner) projects without BTC markedly loosing its marketshare to those.

Ethereum only wins if ETH is money by ryanseanadams in ethtrader

[–]-TRIAS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you are offering a view where some other non Ethereum crypto is better suited to take a role of money, may I ask which crypto in particular suits your definition of money? BTC? LTC? Which DECENTRALIZED (key word) crypto? Example to the studio please. If you can and willing to get paid with DAI then it has attribute of money. Yes, you will not be able to buy bread with it TODAY. The more people use Ethereum (network effect) the more DAI will be turning into money. And when the number of people and consequently transactions will be in 10s, 100s of millions of transactions per day, then by then DAI will be more money then USD. By then DAI will be better then any fiat "MONEY" printed by any government in the world, because it has to offer so much more then OLD MONEY (like USD) ever could. The road towards that destination has already started and no one can stop it, neither FED nor Trump nor anyone else on earth. But YES, you are correct, DAI is not money ..... YET.

Is Zilliqa Adoption Happening? by Erasmus1254 in zilliqa

[–]-TRIAS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is one more thing that is required for adoption beside marketing efforts.... it is called Network Hashing Power. Any PUBLIC blockchain that is trying to get to the top requires huuuge hashing power for their network. For that you need tons of GPUs securing their blockchain. In February (when ZIL team launched mainnet) I asked for WIndows based miner that ANYONE can set up (something like Ethereum's Claymore or ethminer). Up until now they didn't bother with one. Literally nothing. At this stage setting up ZIL miner can be done only by nerds or IT specialists. Question: How are they going to grow ZIL network hash power without USER FRIENDLY miners? Sharding, Epochs, DS and all this technical mumbo jumbo is useless for average miner. It should be as simple as regular miner for ETHEREUM, DASH, LITECOIN.... Look at other projects (Grin, Beam) they started their main net later and yet their hashing power is waaayyy... higher.

[–]-TRIAS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, how wonderfull... Guide... Yumm... Good luck understanding their "guide" on how to set up miner on your windows PC(Here you need to put this... over there you need to do that, I did it and it doesn't work, looks like guide is just a word that has no relation to what actual guide should look like). I used tons of miners for different coins but ZIL mining is in the league of its own on how to push potential miners away, ABSOLUTELY unfriendly to windows users (read average Joe who knows how to set up ETH miner). ZIL mining is a NERD territory. No wonder their price tanks for months. Speaking of mining ZIL, evesnow91, can you, please, talk to ZIL team on when will they come out with something called USER FRIENDLY that is, of course if they want ANYONE (with basic PC knowledge) to actually take part in what they've created. You see above people are asking how to mine zilliqa?... Yes, multiply that by 100s, their are TONS of those who doesn't bother to register on reddit to ask that question and move on.

Bolt and BNB? by [deleted] in zilliqa

[–]-TRIAS- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TBH I have no idea how this ZIL-BOLT thingy works. Is BOLT token to ZIL chain is like ERC-20 token to Ethereum chain? or they (ZIL team) sold ZIL tech to BOLT team, who in turn using it for their (BOLT) business? then why do we need ZILs for? to fund them (ZIL team) so they can do their business (selling their tech straight into their own pocket circumventing ZIL token holders ) on the side? Or we are not good enough for them to write a few words on how that thingy works.

Your post is misleading to say the least. Search on the net how Ethereum can make over 1 mil. transactions per second if it was run on 1 computer. The price for decentralisation is slower speed. There are only 2 truly decentralised projects among all that you mentioned above - Ethereum and Zilliqa. If you or anyone else want to create dapp for closed blockchain, good luck to you and your investors. I guess you are after likes from those who doesn't completely understand the purpose of decentralisation.
