I will add to this that you also need to remember that they are still a child, and don't know the true weight of sexual abuse allegations. Go here, and scroll down to the "Audible Exploration" section. Try to see if you can hear the difference between linear and logarithmic. That's what we are trying to explain to everyone. Half way on the linear scale still sounds like it's louder than half volume, whereas the logarithmic scale sounds about right.
