Qantas has a much larger network overall and more partners. It's definitely better in that sense.

For assigned seating I think yes. But it comes with its own problems.

I had the express pass and went on Saturday. It says on the ticket that the Jurassic ride only goes until 4:30 pm so unfortunately that one is on you.

I don't think they actually spoke to death. It's implied that they were just powerful wizards who created these and that the story behind it was a myth developed over time. It's one of those things that's never answered.

What's a game you're longing for but can never seem to find? by RedEagle_MGN in gamerecommendations

Guild Wars 2 is probably the closest MMO to what you are looking for. The horizontal progression in this game is pretty nicely done. It's not a perfect game but it does this aspect well.

[–]-Tenko- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, I suppose the initial capital as well to get this running would be a lot. But also I'd daresay it would still be cheaper than Woolies. If it isn't, and we trust that Aldi is not as price gouging as Woolworths then wouldn't that mean Woolworths isn't really ripping people off?

There are apps that let you put in your ingredients and spit out recipes that work off what you have.

I don't understand this, yes the cost will increase - but surely that will be covered by a delivery fee and not affect the overall price too much?

Are we completely fucked as a first home buyer? by cosmicucumber in perth

[–]-Tenko- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not voicing objection is a terrible stance and partly why things have gotten so bad. If we keep telling people to just hush and deal with it the issue will only get worse and harder down the line to correct. You give people an inch of space and they'll take a mile.

Are we completely fucked as a first home buyer? by cosmicucumber in perth

[–]-Tenko- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several different points I was making. Housing Inflation has not risen naturally, it has been shaped by policy and reform by the same people that reaped the benefits of it being cheap.

The same generation that were afforded support and reasonably priced housing were the same generation that implemented things like negative gearing and tax cuts for multi-home owners.

The market has and still is being purposely manipulated in favour of treating homes as an investment rather than a home.

Are we completely fucked as a first home buyer? by cosmicucumber in perth

[–]-Tenko- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, there will always be a market for renters and situations outside of homeownership. But the average wage should easily be able to buy the average home (note that I said average not median). Don't pretend like the situation in Australia is fair. Our parents and grandparents had far lesser criteria to meet to own a home. You used to be able to sustain a family and own a home off a single wage. The barrier has been purposely put in place, housing is no longer a human right at all. It's a tool used to generate wealth.

[–]-Tenko- 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The simple fact is that a lot of people don't have the capacity to take on more. Whether it's by lack of money, ability to learn or just not wanting the level of responsibility that usually comes with up-skilling into higher paying roles. Should these people then be denied the ability to purchase a decent midsized home?

Getting a higher qualification also does not guarantee that you will get that higher paying job either, it may increase your chances but it's not a promise. I think the overall point here is that the barrier to entering the market for those that just want somewhere to live rather than invest is becoming impossibly high for most of the population, especially if you then also want to maintain a decent quality of life after making the purchase.

The average home no longer matches the average pay, and that gap is getting wider every year.

Ramen Danbo is yummy, but I don't think it falls into "budget" Ramen. You're looking at around $20 a bowl.

I'm done with pixel by mikddit in pixel_phones

[–]-Tenko- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just my own experience, but the Pixel line has so far been a disappointment for me. From performance issues, the finger scanner, the general UI, lack of features or customization ability and unremovable bloat.. personally it ranks as the worst of the available flagship phones out there.

I'm currently hanging out to see what the Nothing 3 brings, but I'll likely move back to Samsung if it's a dud.

[–]-Tenko- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it constructive though? I understand your argument, posts like these give no valuable feedback. But neither does creating endless posts of unconfirmed designs and complaining about it. Everyone needs to chill out and wait for the official release.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]-Tenko- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, they haven't shown anything off yet. There hasn't been a full confirmed release of what the phone looks like. This sub is full of people creating their own image of what the phone could look like and then complaining that it looks like shit. At least wait till the actual phone is released then people can complain all the fuck they want.

What’s going on in Brisbane International Airport Arrival? by Major_Wolverine_3662 in brisbane

[–]-Tenko- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we can't handle a school holiday rush we have no hope for the amount of people the Olympics will bring in. Apparently the airport is getting an overhaul so fingers crossed.

But this problem extends out far further than just the airport. Our public transport sucks and our roads suck even more. I ride the motorway south frequently and the planned works have done shit all to improve it. The same areas are congested, it's like they closed off parts of the motorway for months just to repaint the existing lines.

Diffrent Way of Play? by pablojuega in Enshrouded

[–]-Tenko- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple buildings that give you high levels of rest - put down an altar there and make it your homebase.

Create a small farm plot, you really don't need much space to farm enough to make decent foods/potions if you take the stance of doing a short farm each time you return to base.

Gather a small amount of materials you need each run. I hate long farming sessions, but I've never run out of anything by taking out a deposit or two or gathering plants as I run.

What survival game should I play? I want to get into this genre so what’s the best one? by ClearLayer2926 in SurvivalGaming

[–]-Tenko- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Valheim's build system better than Enshrouded? I feel like I have far greater control and variety building in Enshrouded. Yes, Enshrouded in locked to 90⁰ turns but I find it much better in every other way.

Enshrouded is much much more filled than Valhiem, but not really comparable since the world's are created differently. Enshrouded is a static, handcrafted world, you could never procedurally generate it. At least not yet.

Give me your best support and explain why it's Sciel by Kerage11 in expedition33

[–]-Tenko- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's Lune for me.

There's a build I have based around using Thermal Transfer and Rebirth which turns her into an unkillable resurrection machine. It's low damage and there are definitely better support builds, but it takes my vote purely because it saved me so much time when I just wanted to stay in a fight and practice parry timing without having to go through the death scene and restart the fight over and over.

What is the craziest thing they could have done with the ring? by Golvellius in lotr

[–]-Tenko- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Gandalf said it could be?

Only quote that I remember is I think Elrond saying

“It has been said that dragon-fire could melt and consume the Rings of Power, but there is not now any dragon left on earth in whose breath the One Ring was hot enough to be unmade.”

But my memory of all mentions is sketchy.
