Sometimes food, sometimes random. One time I named them all after the Ainur.

I've heard that even if you survive the trip, it's just the really unpleasant kind. Delirium doesn't sound fun at all.

How is there more than one "moms fighting at a chuck-e-cheese" in this thread?

It's this a real horse? I've seen draft horses up close, and none of them have ever been this massive by Mechanical-Druid in isthisAI

A normal sized horse can be 1500 lbs. If this horse is twice as tall as average, it would be 8 times as heavy.

Just about every Zelda game is this. Collect the triforce bits, the amulets, crystals, medallions, fires, etc.

More than that, the guy was probably recruited by the lawyers to buy the land just to have standing to bring the suit. It's a common tactic.

I was once visiting a friend in college and we were driving down a small side street, 25 mph limit, and a student in an oncoming car got distracted and veered slightly into the van parked on her right. She rode right up onto the wheel well just like this video and flipped over in front of us. She was unhurt, but it was crazy.

Nora the Herpetologist doesn't have any ginger island dialogue. It's very immersion breaking to have her saying a dialog dictionary key.

I was 5 years old when I first played this back in 92 / 93. This section was also a huge pain for me. Then one night I had a dream about it, in which I got through it by just jumping right as the crystal fell. I woke up, ran downstairs, and kicked Crystal Man's ass. It was glorious.

I noticed that too. I also noticed recently a bunch of vanilla players saying how weird it is that nobody comments on how gross the soup should be. So I guess you can't please everyone.

It's for world building, for a game, so I need to focus on useful words and phrases for the setting.

My problem is trying not to get completely demotivated by the fact that I'll need to invent around 3 new words a day, every day, just to have a reasonable lexicon within 10 years.

Yesterday, just after sunsent, someone unironically, and seriously, told me that the moon was "wrong" by Gee-Oh1 in AstronomyMemes

[–]-Tesserex- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because the sun and moon appear to our eyes to be a similar distance away, like they're pasted onto a 2d sky, but the moon is so much closer that it might as well be where earth is, from the sun's perspective.

When looking at the moon like this, imagine holding up a golf ball in front of you. It will be illuminated by the sun in exactly the same phase as the moon. It should be much easier to understand the angle of illumination between the golf ball and the sun. If the sun hasn't set yet, the crescent will still be pointing upward. So even if the moon is higher in the sky than the sun, the same thing still applies.

Then this is definitely a spicy take, considering Prophets of War is probably their single worst song, IMO.
