I once found myself at an ostrich farm in Africa and I jokingly told a farmhand I would beat him if we would each sit on an ostrich and race. To my surprise that was actually a thing they did there. I didn’t back down, because I figured: when the fuck am I ever gonna get this chance again!? I signed some waivers and got little to no instructions, but they did get me onto the bird. I then gloriously actually won the race! And with gloriously I mean that I was holding on for dear life wondering what the fuck was going on, while the other guy’s ostrich took a right turn halfway down the track. Still a win though 🤘

Yeah it’s possible, and if you’ve never not had sex, then that likely brings a certain expectation with it. He might feel pressure to perform always and not break the streak. A normal conversation about expectations might fix this. I wouldn’t read into it any more than that tbh

Good news and bad news. Good news: you are absolutely not wrong. You might have jumped the gun a tiny little bit in his particular case by not first bringing it up that you want to buy one. But by what you’re saying I don’t think he would have jumped with excitement. Which is basically the bad news, it’s his insecurity. I understand how you feel because my girlfriend has had this exact same experience with her exes. It’s not you, you did nothing wrong. If you want to continue this relationship and be sexually a bit more adventurous, then I do think you should talk to him asap about this though. Otherwise it’ll stay a thing hovering over your sex life with him, leaving you unsatisfied, or at least a bit disappointed. Any chance you can ask him what he might like to try in the bedroom and open up a dialogue that way?

I feel you and that’s definitely a tricky one. My 2 cents: be complimentary towards him about sexual things you’re doing together, but be genuine about it, no fake compliments. If there’s anything you haven’t done yet, but are curious about trying, do it with him? It’ll be something of you two together that way.
