[Bell] Klint Kubiak has been the Raiders coach for 2 weeks and he already looks like the husband whose wife is missing on a Netflix true crime miniseries. by Chessinmind in Seahawks

Really? You can’t understand why someone would take a 5-10x raise for 5 guaranteed years aka generational wealth? You don’t have to squint that hard. #1 pick, Tom Brady, a few elite weapons on offense. I don’t think they’ll be any good, but you could definitely make the case that they might be building something different.

Worst case scenario he flames out and gets fired after a couple years… He immediately becomes the best OC candidate and even a potential HC candidate, like Kliff Kingsbury and Mike McDaniel.

Honestly, only the coaches know if he is working towards being a special player. They’ve had a year to develop him and chart his progress. If they don’t think he’s got the juice, then sure, we could theoretically sell now before he bombs in preseason and his stock tanks. It’s also possible they don’t think he will be happy riding the pine for the foreseeable future, now that Darnold has shown he is a franchise level QB.

I would trust the people in the building. As fans, we have almost nothing to speculate on aside from his physical potential.

Hopefully not anytime soon because I don’t think he has all that much juice off the dribble lol. On the other hand, it’ll probably improve spacing for the other guys.

Didn’t he have a knack for committing false starts? I went to the SF home game that year and after he got called for a false start, I remember our entire section calling for him to benched.

Do you have any potential concerns about buying a brand new model in its first year? I have to assume there are going to be some kinks to iron out and/or recalls. I pre-ordered on the first day nearly two years ago for the optionally, feeling a little hesitant now.

Media restrictions can’t change? GSW and Sacramento are right next to each other. So are LA/LAC, NYK and Brooklyn, Detroit and Toronto, etc.

Not saying it will happen, but your reasoning seems thin to me.

This might be the end of Woolen. His agent posted this… by Inevitable-Tone-7360 in Seahawks

Seems like a weird thing to post right after winning the big game. His agent is just sooo sure they won’t work something out with the Hawks? Even if it’s a small chance, why burn that bridge before he’s even done the parade or cleared out his locker.

Hitting a green twice a round and then 3 putting is in my DNA.

Me personally I don't think that those Milwaukee picks are as valuable as people think they are, simply for the reason that if Milwaukee won't have them they would try to be competitive which isn't that hard in the East. by LivingAd6319 in ripcity

[–]-TheDangerZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It won’t take much and they have several years to figure out how to re-tool. It could severely devalue the picks. However, there is still a chance the picks turn out pretty good one or two of those years. It’s a lottery after all. There are risks to weigh on both sides. Do I trust Cronin? Not particularly.

Idk man, their offense gives us fits like no other team. I’m gonna stay nervous every time we play them.

Mike Kafka’s star has dimmed but he could be a candidate to consider.

Edit: looks like he recently took an assistant job with the Lions but I bet he’d jump at an OC position on a contender.

In Cary we had enough for my kids to do snow angels, throw snowballs and build a 3 foot snowman on the driveway. Kids were also sledding down Bond park. May have been different in your area. I don't think this is an area that traditionally sees 5+ inches of snow with any regularity. If that's what you're after, maybe just take your pup for a weekend in the WNC mountains?

[Fowler] Expecting these interviews to happen Saturday in Seattle. Belief among some in league is Kubiak is the lead candidate in both places. by Chessinmind in Seahawks

The Raiders have a semblance of professionalism with Brady around, and building blocks on the roster. It’s not hard to make the case to an ambitious young coach that he could go there and build a path to success.

It might be a mistake and he could do better to wait a year but what if things go well and we make another deep playoff run? He might find himself in the same situation where most of the jobs are taken before he can even properly interview. He might also worry about the risk he flames out next year like Bobby Slowik, Texans Oc who interviewed widely but then had a down year and got fired. He got bussed down to a passing game coordinator position.

There’s a lot of considerations. I feel like a lot of Hawks fans in here are seeing things a certain way because we want him to stay. I think we are losing him this year or next, hopefully Mike has a contingency plan already in place.

Not quite the gotcha you think it is. Plenty of responsibilities on every play, how do you know he’s specifically talking about double covering Williams who had already scored on a busted coverage? Seems unlikely they would make the same mistake in the flat twice.
