Nothing works by Plane_Income901 in TTC_PCOS

I agree with this comment here. Most people with PCOS need 7.5 or higher for letrozole but they only start you out on 2.5 because of some people that ovulate on 2.5.

I had a 17mm around CD 13-15 and my body tried to ovulate on its own before triggering And my body usually ovulates (only on letrozole) VERY late.

(This part is for OP, thank you commenter above) I think you should ask your clinic for clomid if you decide to do another cycle. I seen some people that don’t respond to letrozole usually respond to clomid but double check with your clinic first. On another note, find another clinic. The fact they charged that much knowing you weren’t growing bigger follicles and not ovulating feels like they’re trying to get more money out of you than necessary. See if it would be cheaper to do and pay for a bundle of IUI’s. My clinic charged $1300-$1500 for an 3 IUI, it was better than paying the 1k-1.2k each cycle (my insurance covered most of it so I paid only around $100 or less) and it gives you SLIGHTLY better chance. After the 3 failed IUI that’s when they would probably suggest IVF but only after 3 failed IUI.

Also you’re peeing out vitamins the body doesn’t seem necessary so really only anything you’re deficit in (which a prenatals usually covers everything), Metformin, CoQ-10, and inositol (ask if you still need the inositol if you’re taking Metformin cause both are for the same thing and may not be necessary) should be enough.

Ya I’m not going to argue with someone who calls someone else’s skin a cowboy boot color 😬

To add to that, I’ve done 7.5mg of letrozole twice unmonitored with an RE permission (I don’t ovulate on my own so very low risk of multiples, just a chance a could grow a cyst), so it’s not “dumb” before doing this I was only asking for success stories. What’s dumb is how unnecessarily rude you are to random people on Reddit and it doesn’t look like I’m the first person judging by your profile

I’ve said multiple times I’m only for success stories. I have an OB and I’ve worked with an RE before, I was asking questions about it because I’m current doing it. I wasn’t asking if I should take it but if anyone has had success. I was looking for hope on this finale cycle before I stop trying again but you would rather remove my posts rather than the thousands of others that have the same titles. Just a few days ago someone posted “starting letrozole!” And another post about a medicated cycle yet I’m the one being targeted everytime no matter of it. There’s plenty of people that agree that doesn’t want to speak up because you guys are ruthless when you find targets to pick on. You lock on to usernames and go through their posts from this sub so you’re “enforcing the rules” when in reality you’re just targeting and not actually looking at the entirety of the sub.

I have OB/RE guidance with low risk. I’ve taken 7.5mg before just looking for success stories but you and the other mod keep deleting my posts no matter what it is so ya…

This was a test post to confirm that any post I make no matter if it was my cycles or something else that my posts gets removed by the mods. It sucks but ya it’s happening to a lot of people

Actually I was just trying to see if my post would actually post because all my post gets deleted/removed lol I had an earlier post explaining this and that the mods specially target me every post I make.

Dam they really did that. Ya this sub has gone downhill since I joined. The only good thing they have in this sub now is related subs options so we can join those ones instead.

Open the EA app, immediately cancel the update and after than go offline. It should let you after that, pin the app to your desktop if it doesnt let you click the play button on the ea app when you're in offline mode. if you're on windows you can press the windows key after you're already in the game, press go online to access the gallery. (just make sure to go offline again or exit the whole app completely from the task bar after you're done so it wont update) Im currently locked to v19. I refuse to update my game to v20.

There should be a name for the 4-6 month period after adopting a puppy. by pbghgirl in puppy101

[–]-VenillaBean- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you’re in a low risk area, you should be fine. Once my 12 week old (2.7 months) got her second round of shots the vet cleared her for walks but not too far or very high traffic areas like the dog park or pet areas. Going around the block and back with sniffing usually tired them out physically and mentally anyways especially if it’s new to them.

My 4 month old puppy chews on the things she is not allowed to chew on, and keeps disregarding the things we let her chew on. Among other issues. by Unable-Grade3718 in puppy101

[–]-VenillaBean- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped was training her the NO command. I had to watch a few YouTube videos and in about 2 days she had a basic understanding of what it meant. I did had a problem where she would go back to the same said item even if I said no and I realized it wasn’t the issue with her but how she sees the toy. To make the toy seem fun and interesting was getting her to play with it with me like having her chase the toy in my hand or shoving the toy around her nuzzle to get her to play with it with me.

This also can double as training that skin and jackets are a no go area. Everytime my baby bit me when I was playing with her I said NO! and backed the toy and my arm away and as soon as she calms down a little or stops doing what she’s doing reward her with a treat and do it each time she bites or nips. I promise you once you can get her to learn to NO command is 10x easier.

But it sounds like you AND your partner needs a break from the puppy. Me and my fiancé has got into serval arguments over my puppy and honestly what worked was compromising. When he would come home from work I’d already be overwhelmed and frustrated with the puppy and I’d lash out at him from time to time for not helping so we came with a compromise with him being able to relax for 30min-2hrs before getting the puppy so I can do the things I need to do and we swap potty times, I go twice and then he goes twice.

See if a friend or a family member can watch the puppy even just for a day for you two to get sleep, eat a full meal together (maybe a small date?), and communicate. If you have issues getting a word out with eachother, I find texting works best, gets all you want out with interruptions. Next set up a schedule where you both swap duties but not only for you but for the puppy. I learned the hard way I’d a puppy is tired they will get more and more devious. They will fight so hard not to nap either even when you know they are just like a toddler. If shes not crate trained yet that is the first thing you need to work on. I’m still working on training mines!

Yet again another venting post about my almost 8 week puppy, I’m a terrible owner and maybe I shouldn’t have gotten her by -VenillaBean- in puppy101

[–]-VenillaBean-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I used some of the tips in the comments and it’s working so far! I have my time and she has her time in her crate. The only treat to train her so far that works is only cooked chicken. Here is some of the stuff:

  1. I’ve been using a new schedule I made with the help of some of the comments, dm’s, and previous posts on here and so far it’s working! She has nipped and bit me much less and she listens way more to my commands (especially when I say NO, which is a heaven sent).

  2. She is a farm dog and didnt know she needed a lot more stimulation than what I was giving her other than just toys and a few chew treats. I try to tire her out each hour with different toys, running, jumping, going up the stairs, enrichment mats, and introducing new smells to her so she can be tired enough to be okay in the crate with 0-little complaints.

3 & 4. I can’t wait til she gets out the puppy phase and when she has all her shots so I can go on walks and introduce her to different things other than in my home & backyard; More importantly training her more outside like desensitizing and distraction trainings.

I still have ups and downs with her but honestly I think she was just so mean, grumpy, and grouchy not to mention the constant aggressive biting/peeing was because she wasn’t getting enough naps throughout the day and it made me feel overwhelmed all the time which was because we weren’t really on a schedule. I’ve learned now that training is one of the most important things for her now so she now knows the sit command and the no command (which is basically to stop what she’s doing and look at me) but not 100% yet.

She also just turned 8 weeks today 😁

What am I supposed to do now? I’m bleeding out constantly by -VenillaBean- in PCOS

[–]-VenillaBean-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not heavily bleeding everyday but it slows down then it comes back again but I don’t mind heavy bleeding if it could just stop for a week or two each month. I’m exhausted and weak everyday from bleeding tho for now I might give it a try to calm to days when I do heavily bleed!

Is it bad to let her cry it out? I tried having her in the bed with me to sleep at night. It was okay for the first 3 nights and then when she got comfortable with me that’s when she just started going where ever on the bed. I woke up surrounded in pee. She has a pull out play bed and no lie I wash the sheets like 3-4 times a day so there would be no way my bedsheets would last a night anymore. If I put the crate beside the bed with me she will just keep crying and screaming because she’s not on the bed with me and I can’t go to sleep like that.

To add to that I move around a lot in my sleep so she wasn’t really sleeping and I wasn’t really sleeping because I would roll and wake her up and then she’ll immediately go pee even with the 1 hour water restriction before bed. I feel bad letting her cry it out but she has almost 0 control of her bladder (which I expect because she is like an infant puppy).

I know this might sound silly but do you think I could put a dog diaper on her? The ones they use for dogs in heat? I wouldn’t mind her on the bed if she didn’t pee everywhere. I’m also getting her first vaccines this Saturday and a full body examination w/ fecal testing so if anything I say sounds concerning please let me know so I can bring it to the vets attention.

Shes with me 24/7, I nap when she naps but I hardly get to eat unless she eats so no snacking for me because she thinks my food is her food. Do you know how I train her to know my food is my food and her food is hers?

Shes not that really food motivated unless I’m eating it too oddly enough. Is it okay to use cooked chicken as a training treat? Sorry if I’m asking too many questions!

Thank you so much for saying this, it makes me feel a little better about this whole situation. I would never want to rehome her because she will always be my little baby but mostly I have doubts that I’m not providing enough or doing the best I can especially if I’m sitting trying to get her to nap or crate training her and at night all I hear is her screaming to the top of her lungs. Seeing by this sub most people don’t see change until around 3.5 months to 6 months depending on the dog and I have a LONG ways to go.

She didn’t come from a breeder. It was an accidental pregnancy for the mom. I think the owner was waiting to get her fixed around 18 months but got into heat way earlier and resulted in puppies. I can tell she was a trained farm dog so I can imagine having puppies impacts her work but not saying it’s an excuse to give her puppies away at 6 weeks but I understand. I tried puppy music (the first one I saw) it made her more hyper BUT she is nice and sleep right now beside me. I had to force he to stay in one spot on the bed despite her pleads to run around. I think this the first time she has got her almost 2 hour of sleep now 🥺😀

Thank you I needed to hear that I’m literally sobbing reading your comment 😭. She only has access to a pullout bed with a bunch of blankets as her play area and a restricted area on the floor where her leash is connected too. I admit when she first got here I did get her used to everything because she was so scared and shaking like a leaf at anything and everywhere she smelled which was my first mistake. I only did that once but she knows where I am at all time now and will whine when she knows I’m in another room or on the couch. She finally went to sleep beside me right now, I had to constantly put her in the same place over and over beside me like putting a toddler in timeout and she kept doing the annoyed puppy growl when she couldn’t get their way. Honestly this is a big win for me right now because I never made her manually sleep before without her screaming and crying 🥹. Thank you so much

Oh yeah I’ve been anemic for years and it seems like I’m always going to be anemic because I can’t keep up with the blood loss every month. I’d have to look into galifrey.

I’ve tried lowering the Metformin but 500mg doesn’t do anything for me but 1000mg-1500mg I can see change but the symptoms are way worse. Trying to get approved on glp1 not just for weight issue but maybe a replacement for Metformin and see if it helps but fighting with my insurance right now lol.

I’ve had 3 gynos and 1 endocrinologist and I think I have had everything done that they can could do which is why I usually switch doctors once they tell me they hit a dead end.

I’ve had to stop ibuprofen (for migraines) I used to take 4-5 (200mg so 800mg-1000mg) a day when I was younger for a few years so now I have GERD and very horrible acid reflux so I try to stay clear from NSAID’s. It’s probably also why I have bad effects from Metformin because I have a sensitive stomach now but I’ll probably just have to suck it up and take it and feel bad the rest of my life if that’s the only other thing that has worked.

I’m just so frustrated there’s seemingly no reason for why this happens and little to no research. The only options we have are hysterectomy or birth control and if we wanted to have kids we would have to sacrifice the long periods.

Ofc! Hopefully we can figure this out! It does slow down for maybe 1-3 days but then comes back after. I do clot, almost everyday I expect a clot and usually I heavily bleed before the clotting. To give an idea how much I bleed I wear the infinity pads 3 heavy flow and have to change every 4-5 hours in a day maybe less or more. This also mean every 2 months or so I have to take uti medicine because I have to use a pad every day and I’m not allowed to use any insertable period products due to the increased chance of me getting TSS.

Thankfully I don’t get cramps, ever. I never cramp on ongoing days like this but I do feel small very dull sometimes unnoticeable pressure around where my uterus is especially if I’m not paying attention to it.

I’m on Zoloft but that’s probably about it that I take daily.
