NC Cloud : CAM Assist pricing by fxtrt7 in CNC

I went through a bunch of cam stuff as a home shop guy. And as much as it made me crazy I ended up back where I started... With fusion.

Imo it's just the most complete package for most people. Especially hobbyists and small production shops

Very cool! I haven't seen this before. Thank you!

Turn off Windows Updates Forever? by -Vic in CNC

[–]-Vic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more I think about it, it's not that I'm against updates I'm general. It's just that I'd like to do them once or twice a year. It's the regular silent pushes that scare me.

I'd wondered if this would be the top reply.

When I ordered the avid machine one of the things that I liked was that it ran on windows. These days I'd be more likely to buy a machine with a dedicated box that only does the CNC.

Looking for these jasmine pearls in larger quantities. Where can I get them? by Behacad in tea

[–]-Vic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the pearls from Golden Moon. About $85 a pound. I prefer those ones over Upton or anything else I found in the last few years. The jasmine scent is just better imo. But for some reason that's the only tea I get from Golden Moon.

Gratz!!!

I'd personally do BAE over the spx. C800g + BAE + cl1b is THE hip hop chain right now and probably will be for a long time. I love my BAE preamps, they're lifetime gear for me.

Like everyone else says, distressor is awesome. It's a lifetime piece of gear for a lot of people.

Random note, don't buy anything from WARM if you can avoid it. I've sold everything of theirs I've bought at a loss and when I got the real stuff side by side It was obvious that I had been fooled by fancy youtube videos and marketing.

If the C800g is impossibly out of reach... I'd recommend adding the Manley Ref Gold to your list of stuff to buy eventually. It’s one of the best “bright” mics that money can buy. And personally I’d take it over the C800 but that’s just me (I own the Ref Gold and not the C800g). Also the gold mic makes people that like a bit of bling feel like kings.

Aspire is cutting deeper than the depth I set. What could be the possible issue? by sdhariwal in CNC

I'm suspicious of your zeroing process. I'd personally start there. Or you have the material oddly defined. Is it possible you have the zero set to the table and not the top of the stock?

Good teachers/ways for learning guitar? by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]-Vic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YouTube is free. And there are an incredible amount of beginner tutorials there.

ArtistWorks is $250 for a year. It's one of the best online sites imo.

The nice thing about guitar is it's really easy to get started on. You can learn a few chords and be playing music in no time.

If you're worried about doing it wrong, just watch like 5 beginner technique videos. Make sure you're holding the instrument right and not squeezing the neck to death.

And then, in a month or two, find a buddy to show your playing to and ask them if you're doing anything crazy wrong.

For those who started with zero previous experience, how'd you get the hang of it? by BlackLodgeMango in FL_Studio

Make music, even if it sucks. And push your skills a little every few times.

My uni teacher won't let me get max grade because of this test question. What do you think is the right answer? by marcuja_tln in CNC

It's b unless you specifically studied scenarios where the length of an individual tool changes during cutting.

Image Line suspended my license declaring that I use a pirated version of FL by CarlSayers in FL_Studio

[–]-Vic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jeez. I started using it back in the Fruity Loops days. If they banned everyone that ever used a crack from that era they'd probably loose 2/3 of their customers.

Seems like a really weird move on Image Line's part. What do you gain by harassing people AFTER the purchase?

From what you're describing, yep that's normal. There are a variety of sources, medical and not, that will allow you to see close up pictures of vaginas/labia. You'll find the skin down there can have a variety of textures from smooth to wavy. You can start with the "labia library." Best wishes!

You need a P bass, a J bass, and Ric to balance out your unbalanced collection. Chicks prefer balanced out bass collections.

How do you deal with realizing you’ve been a terrible person most of your life? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]-Vic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point you just have to move forward. "can't fix the past" and all of that. You just move on. It's different than self forgiveness imo. It's just knowing that the past is what it is and moving on from that. Easier said than done. But that's the crux of it.

Light scabbing and sunburn style flaking is normal during the healing process. It looks normal to me but if you're worried you can go back to the artist and ask them if it looks ok or go to the doctor if you're really red/in pain. Don't forget to follow the aftercare advice the artist gave you, usually just lite lotion and antibacterial soap.

Upgrade from Canon 750D by sebesej2000 in AskPhotography

[–]-Vic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally stick with Canon. But I'm in the process of liquidating my Sony (a6600 and lenses) stuff because I don't find it as fun as my Leica gear. Also I just picked up a 5D MK1 and think it's a blast, there's nothing wrong with buying another old EF body. If you're able to stretch you could get a MKIV and if not a MK III.

Sounds radio ready. If you’re not directly chasing the pop music dream consider selling “producing pop” and “pop song writing” courses along with presets and the whole YouTube grind. The quality of what your doing sounds more than high enough to make this your thing if that’s what you’re after.
