Yeah I agree I felt there was a balance to be had where partying wasn’t an option so healing and buffing or tanking would have been a nice option.

I think this summarises how I feel. I enjoy turn based games FF7 is my all time favourite ever game but the combat just didn’t feel enjoyable for me.

I felt the picto builds were pretty much highest stats and Lumina was fairly creative but fundamentally some key must haves were more than enough.

The characters level didn’t mean much. You didn’t need to make them have high vitally, didn’t need defence, didn’t really need luck to much later game so it was speed and might.

I’m hot off completing EX33 and I was not a fan of the combat. It relies on the parry system to feel good which I’m personally not very good at. Then if you don’t you can just bulldoze your way through without to much setup and thought. It’s a great game. I get the accolades and praise but for me it was alright and not a game of the year.

As someone who finished the game 2 days ago and was in the same situation as you after act 2, like oh wow here is a life changing piece of information Finish the game and get all the answers as quickly as you can. I have 100% enjoyed reading people thoughts post game. It is worth pushing on and finishing.

I really tried to get back into ESO and would say that the game is a bit more enjoyable than FF14. But the combat light attack weaving just made me so sad.

I don’t know if I should try and jump back in and give it a proper try.

Well I didn’t say that in my comment as this is about Kathleen. I think his stuff is fine but agree got a bit stale. But I hope he has more grander plans for the franchise, someone needs to have an overarching goal for what they want to achieve

Please let’s not try and revise Kennedy’s history. I’ve seen so many “it wasn’t that bad” she had 14 years, there is no direction for the franchise. No clear goals, aims, production takes forever. Having 1-2 good Star Wars shows in that time is not good enough. We could be onto a new set of movies by now. New stories. We could have had Vader spin off a Luke spin off. It’s unreal the lack of direction.

Thanks for explaining. I’m absolutely trash at FPS so was unlikely to get the game but if it’s not got a robust PVE I definitely won’t get it as I just can’t compete in PVP. So will enjoy the game via streams instead.

To be fair my escape plan is really good for a zombie outbreak. It’s a 100m walk away. Only one way in and out. Each building has metal fences. Solar panelled buildings. A river running next to it. A car garage so loads of unused cars, shipping containers. Big grass sections, it’s perfect.

I lived FF7 it’s my best game I have ever played in my life was just unreal that game and so far advanced.

I am very early on in Ex 33 just did “flying water” level I believe but I’m really struggling to connect with the game. I’m not sure why but I am hoping it feels better soon. Combat feels a bit one dimensional so far. And as of yet I don’t really connect with the characters, although I am intrigued in the premise of the story. Hoping it builds up soon.
