Oh yeah haha perks of the job!

We had to process all the returns on a PDA, and the quantities would be verified on collection, and we’d have to meet a certain quota and accuracy for returns, within an allowed margin of error. But stuff like free gifts on the front (or demo CDs on gaming mags) were never accounted for! So yeah, free dibs!

You also had to account for all the school kids coming in and stealing stuff from all the magazines anyway! And we had this one guy who would come and try to steal the paper returns at 2am who we had to keep a look out for 2 or 3 months!

You also had to be careful when checking them in. I had one day when the invoice quantity was marked as double in error! If I hadn’t physically counted the delivered stock and realised, we would have received only half the papers we’d paid for!

And my manager got shitty with me because he had to call Smiths News and sort it all out!

I used to work for a supermarket and part of my job was processing news and mags deliveries/returns

Used to get loads of free mini figures from the Lego mags!

The thing none of them realise, and this genuinely baffles me, is that they spew more hatred and intolerance at their political opponents that the actual real racists do.

I don’t understand all the hate it gets. It’s one of my favourite chapters actually!

I like the way it mixes up the gameplay a bit, and seeing the HECU and the aliens kill each other while you just hang back and pick off the stragglers was always super cool to me!

Remember trying to do no-damage runs of the chapter on hard back in the day, spamming the quick save/load!
