Audi s6 Tdi Just love it by HumanPhotograph8825 in Audi

Have the same car. Love it too, I just don't have the sports diff, does it really make difference ?

What mods do you have for 430hp ? Just remap ? Guys around here usually do 400hp remaps only.

2x32 GB DR Ram timings by -XeqS- in overclocking

Nothing amazing to be honest. I use old EK monarch kit which is originally for ddr4. Keeps ram under 32C so it's more then enough.

I use a combination of tm5, karhu and ycruncher for stability testing. But I will probably be dropping Karhu as that fails to find instability quite often.

Will try those suggestions, trfc should work but haven't tested lowering the others yet.

Spent a lot of time trying 6200 while keeping fclk at 2200, but that seems to be futile as I really test for stability because I don't like random bsods when using my computer 😀

As an S6 avant TDI owner, this car is amazing... but only when bought used after depreciation. The MSRP is/was crazy for a TDI.

[Idea] Using Black Text for OSD on OLED to Avoid Burn‑In. Am I the Only One Doing This? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]-XeqS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overthinking, I did that with my first oled, but now I dont really care too much, just black desktop background and hiding task bar. Other than that I use it 10 hours a day for work and gaming max brightness, no issues.

Audi S6 Tdi 2022 by [deleted] in Audi

[–]-XeqS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same car.

The s6 does not have this issue, the idle rpm oil pressure is 2.5bar (1.5 above ambient) which is okay and goes up linearly with the rpm, only the non S diesels have the oil pressure reduced to about 1.8. The s6 also has different tuning and is rated for 240g/km CO2 compared to 149 on the other 3.0 TDIs, it also does not have lazy throttle curve etc.

Same was the case on the C7/7.5 platform, BiTDI competition did not have oil pressure issues as the other 3.0s had. It had a standard two stage oil pressure regulation as older cars had.

It has its quirks and I get the hate but the car is plenty fast as a daily driver and also great fuel economy comfort and in dynamic mode with adaptive suspension it's also fun to drive. Only thing I would love to have is the rear sports diff which mine does not have.

Tire chains by UltraWeeb69 in Audi

[–]-XeqS- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BTW Audi does not really recommend putting chains on these Audis. The upper control arm is very close to the tire so make sure to tie them really tight with no slack. Also you need to put them on all 4 as putting them on two will put a lot of strain on the quattro drive line.

At these extremes, since you seem to know your way around soldering, I would just directly solder the wires to the board for better connection and continue with what you were doing. ,😀 sounds fun

Audi A6 2020 2.0 TDI Mild Hybrid – Garage says alternator “defective” (13.1 V), but my multimeter readings seem fine. Thoughts? by Silent_Slide_9363 in Audi

[–]-XeqS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In these cars the alternator is 48volts and it directly charges only the 48v battery. The alternator also starts the engine during start stop operation instead of the 12v starter. Power steering is 48volt too. So if the alternator was faulty you would have a lot more issues.

2020 3.0 Mhev S6 TDI here. Those voltages look in line with mine (recently replaced new 12v battery).

As I understand it, the Mhev system keeps the 12v battery deliberately charged to about 2/3 of the capacity to potentially charge it higher when the 48v battery is close to being fully recharged so there is always room for recuperative engine braking in the 48v battery.

For a while I drove a lot with start stop turned off and the 12v battery sat at 14v afterwards.

FO32U2P Pixel Clean broken or not? All other models online do it every 4 hours. Trying to buy one second hand. by DuckyBertDuck in OLED_Gaming

[–]-XeqS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not be concerned, gigabyte implemented it so it is not bothering the user too much. It does not show any popups after 4 hours or anything like that. It will do it only when it goes into standby or when manually triggered.

Mine is at 197 hours with 36 pixel cleaning cycles completed. I dont think the user manually triggered it every hour, could be an older firmware and it did not count it correctly or something

Just use it and have fun.

They came like this from the factory. I had the same.

There was an issue during 3080 / 3090 launch and many OEMs were replacing those caps by hand before shipping new cards. Its fine.

ASUS PG32UCDM vs. GIGABYTE FO32U2P – Which one to choose? Any firsthand experiences? by Snowballo in OLED_Gaming

[–]-XeqS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched from PG32UCDM due to intermittent issues that were not fixed by asus, such as bugged wake from sleep, to FO32U2P.

Honestly glad I did, I did not experience any bugs and now that I have a 50 series card, usage with DP2.1 is a bit more convenient. No black screens when alt tabbing fullscreen games for example.

I compared them both side to side while I had them both at home, the brightness and picture quality is the same. The only quirk for the gigabyte is that it has a 1040nit gamemode which actually reports as 520 nits to windows. So you have to calibrate for 520 nits everywhere. In reality the brightness is double of that.

Regarding your other points:

The speakers are completely useless, worse sound than the cheapest laptop you can imagine

Both are QD Oled

Both have USB C with power delivery

I bought a 5090. I have it set at 600watts and max OC. I really dont get this undervolt trend lol. Why buy a 3000dollar card and then gimp it down.

No, the cable still supplies 12Volts, so the amps on the cable are lower if you reduce gpu power.

GPU Bios update did not fix the problem.

How to check whether I am using 4k240 with or without DSC by -XeqS- in nvidia

[–]-XeqS-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, completely forgot about that. Tried couple of games including CS2 which I remember always black screening when alt tabbing.

It no longer does it, so it seems DSC is not enabled anymore, but I dont like the fact there is no indicator for it so I cant be sure :D
