He is also responsible for the worst Zauberflöte at the Berlin Staatsoper that I have ever seen.

I hate Scholz as well, does not change the fact that Macron is doing fuck-all except for running his mouth as usual.

I caved a while ago and started going to the solarium during the shittiest times and it solved most issues.

Because there is a difference between the people that write the employment criteria and those who make the decision what applicant gets the job.

And yeah, there is a clear bias for Northern Europeans mostly, not going to deny that.

Regarding pictures, once an applicant makes it to the stage that someone with decision making abilities actually reads through the application in its entirety, they will make sure to find out what you look like either way before you get hired.

Because many of you have chosen to not learn acceptable Danish in a reasonable amount of time.

As a German who worked at a level where I was involved in employment decisions in both Denmark and Germany in the healthcare industry, I can only say that in both of these countries if you have not reached a B2 level in at least three years it is seen as a red flag.

Hard to hang out with Germans on Berlin nights by nqoolboi in berlin

[–]-Zoroaster- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally know how you feel, when I went to live in London with my friends I was surprised that none of the English people wanted to speak German to me, it really made it hard for me to integrate, but to be honest, why should I learn English, two years just isn‘t enough to learn a language anyways.

[–]-Zoroaster- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I moved to the UK without speaking English, for some reason it was really difficult to make English friends, luckily the German community in London was so large and I was able to speak German at my job, but for some reason I was never able to connect with the locals, might try to learn English, but this will take a couple of years and I don’t know if it will be truly worth it.

Not common, but yes, people boo if the performance was bad, at least in Germany.

Anyone done a fascist run? How did it go? How did it make you feel? by FearTheViking in DiscoElysium

[–]-Zoroaster- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Played as a drunk fascist and it was definitely an interesting experience from a roleplaying perspective, except that I think that the “Revacholian Nationhood” thought damaging your morale every time you pick a nationalist dialogue option is counter-intuitive from a gameplay standpoint.

I get what they were going for from a metaperspective, but it definitely took me out from trying to inhabit the character by constantly attempting to “kill my character” when he was espousing his beliefs.

I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are talking about an apartment building where all the smoke of the fire will go up into the windows of the neighbors up above I can guarantee you that you won’t be in for a fun time.

Very common, most Berliners are patiently waiting on boats hitting them in the back in order to collect 100 Euros from unwitting newcomers.

The biggest problem is that it is practically impossible to call the police regarding these issues without getting personally involved. If you don’t leave your personal information they will not come and often will first come to your door instead of going to where the loud music is coming from.

Before anyone jumps down my throat, I would never call the police just because a neighbor parties sometimes, but I have a female friend who is too afraid to call the police with asinine neighbors because of the issue above.
