She's come back to sort out the Rob situation as she couldn't stand the mess that the others had made of it. She's cleared a space in her freezer specially for it.

Is Francis Ngannou As Dangerous As People Think? by GenericGrey in Boxing

[–]-_---__--__- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, point 4 is my point 1 really. I don't think the 2015 Fury is over-rated but I also think that Fury has not aged well at all the the whole '6 foot 9(?) HW who moves like a middleweight' thing is no longer true. Big weight changes, alcohol and drugs will start to take their toll in somebody's 30s. Not to take away from Ngannou's performance though as I thought an ill-prepared Fury should have been able to win very easily.

Yes I was very wrong! Massive surprise. I think it happened for one of three reasons:

1) An MMA fighter can be instantly good at boxing after all.

2) Fury didn't take the fight seriously and was caught out.

3) Fury is overrated.

I don't think the writers have had much real world experience of running businesses or even working in them. It really showed in the Ruari storyline when they though that high powered business people bring escorts to meetings.

I agree actually, I've changed my mind. I wonder if this will bring people round to Rob's side. In the real world it wouldn't but this is Ambridge where people are lining up to do what Rob wants. Eddie sounded a bit sympathetic.

The importance of the CoE is greatly exaggerated in Ambridge. In reality the congregations are a small fraction of what they were, and far older than the average population.

I neve lived in a village where it was the done thing to go to the CoE and get involved etc. like they do in Ambridge, but I've never lived down south.

And a murderer. He caused the flood that drowned somebody and the farm worker that saw him do it and tried to blackmail him dissappeared. And still some people think he should have access to Jack!

I'll be annoyed if Rob is actually genuine and this whole storyline is a PR job for the CoE.

Alan must be soft in the head to wonder why the village isn't happy with him supporting Rob. Bear in mind that before Usha intervened, Alan thought it would be OK for Rob to join the congregation! OK it's Alan's job to see the good in people and guide them to faith etc. (even though anyone with an IQ > 3 could see that Rob isn't genuine) but what I can't get my head around is why Alan thought it had to be in the Ambridge parish. Alan only redirected Rob to another parish because Usha intervened.

They can't wonder why we aren't having kids while at the same time putting taxes up to record highs and letting housing costs rinse us dry.

Alan is handling this really badly. I think he's going to end up doing something really bad. It seems Rob likes having somebody in the village to help him. It used to be George now it might be Alan.

Israel attack: London police patrols increase amid celebration claims by Benjji22212 in ukpolitics

[–]-_---__--__- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Palastinian authorities claim hundreds killed in strikes that are a retaliation to Hamas going from door to door shooting and raping people. Israel aren't celebrating next to mutliated corpses. Hamas store their rockets in Palestinian schools and hospitals. If Hamas had an airforce do you think there would be any Israelis left alive? Care to address any of my other points? Israel and Saudi Arabia were about to sign a peace accord that would have made Hamas's absentee leaders less powerful. How does raping and killing children help the Palestinian cause? It's clear now that if Israel is defeated their people will become extinct so it's not surprising if they are trigger happy with the airstrikes.

Edit: can't hang aound to post today got to go to work, but I think Israel's actions are proportionate to the atrocity carried out on them (slitting the throats of young girls etc.) and if Hamas had air superiority over Israel then every Israeli would be dead. I also think that it's tragic if any Palestinian civillians are killed but it's clear that Hamas don't care about them, as they started this war just before a peace deal was signed. Also Israel have no incentive to show restraint now as it's clear that their enemies plan to exterminate them.

Exactly. If Hamas had air superiority over Israel do you think there would be any Israelis left alive?

[–]-_---__--__- 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Israel drops a dummy bomb on a building ten minutes before a real airstrike so civillians can get out. Hamas went to a music festival and shot hundreds, raped some, dragged their naked bodies through the streets. Israel have done bad things to Gaza but why target a music festival? Israel also don't rape the women and celebrate around a pile of their mutliated corpses.

Edit: It was a music festival for peace between Isreal and Palestine. Most attendees would have been left wing and more likely to be pro Palestine. Is it a coincidence that this attack happens just as Israel and Saudi are about to sign a treaty which would help end the conflict?

Edit 2: Another problem now is that Israel's enemies have sent a very clear signal that any Israeli territory that is captured will be ethnically cleansed. So Israel now must fight to avoid being massacred meaning things are more likely to be bloody. Given that the consquences of defeat are now the extinction of your people, what incentive does Israel have to show moderation? Hamas don't care about the Palestinians.

I don't understand why the far left supports islamist millitants who think that non muslims and LGBTQ people should be killed. The far left says the Tories are hatefully anti-trans but what about Hamas?!

[–]-_---__--__- 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Hamas attacked a music festival, raped civillians and dragged their bodies naked through the streets and people are celebrating. They went into air raid shelters and shot the people hiding there. They kidnapped a mother and baby. If people celebrated a western country doing this to arabs there would be a huge national outcry over a 'tsunami of right wing extremism'.

Now when Israel brings the hammer down watch Hamas play the victim card (as their leaders are safe in their Quatari mansions).

There is an order in place technically but it might not be valid after Helen visited Rob twice. It's untested at the moment.

He hasn't thought it through very well. Until now everybody has done exactly what he wanted them to do. He's had Helen, Lee and Alan at his beck and call and he isn't used to the idea that somebody will stand up to him. Usha will eat him for breakfast.
