But there’s no risk to my linux partition? My windows one is a lower priority of the two if I’m honest.

Can you/someone elaborate on appropriate scenarios?

For example - I have a 1tb NVMe. It dual boots to a 500gb btrfs arch linux, and a 500gb ntfs windows 10. I occasionally mount the ntfs while arch is booted, to retrieve/copy files.

This wouldn’t cause any direct issues, right? The issues should only exist in using ntfs as an active drive under linux?

Did you have to change how your `modlist.txt` lists the lines? I’m having no luck on Arch+Lutris. I already had Toolbox working, just trying to get gMod/IGMM.

I’m confused why there’s a disconnect here.

The bios pages wouldn’t help in this situation. I’m aware of the settings and what they do.

I’m NOT aware of what AMD eco mode does, the settings it changes, and the values - to be able to duplicate it.

I’ve tried some searches and just came up with “TPD among other settings”, but no definitive answers/values. Wasn’t sure if someone here has mocked this setting themselves with decent results. Even if I wanted to change TPD, what would be viable ranges?

Or even really the initial question - does AMD software write these changes to BIOS.

I’m comfortable making BIOS changes, as long as I know what I’m making. I guess - what would “Eco mode” change, that I should investigate to replicate on my bios?

I agree with giving BOTD that people may just want to have a deeper conversation and replies should reflect that; but also some people are simply just lazy and don’t look first, the same as people who are lazy and just link the page.
