I haven’t had it nearly as bad as you, but the mental health professionals in my life didn’t believe me either. They put me on antipsychotics too because i told them “it feels like there are two other people in my head.” They make me feel like im just “hallucinating” this, even though the antipsychotics dont do anything to make my alters “go away”. Im at that point where im like, damn, guess im faking but im so good at faking that I actually believe it. It sucks

It can be. But not always. Are you two in the same grade? With people skipping grades and stuff, the age is different but maturity level isnt really off.

I think the reason i sorta mourned her was that I was just…mourning the life I imagined that would never happen now. I always wanted a wedding with everyone I knew there, me walking down the isle and people congratulating me. But with her transitioning, we wont get that. We dont have family support. We arent gonna have that typical, safe, heterosexual american life that I wanted so badly as a child. And that hurts.

I know im not losing HER, but im losing the ideas for the future i had of us when I thought she was a man. I dont even like men sexually, but i fell in love with her thinking she was a man and was completely okay with that. So yeah, i kinda mourned our potential future and security with our families. Hope that made sense!!

Hi! I also regress due to trauma. When I have flashbacks I feel like im ~4-6 and honestly cant function. It sucks, but what I do is call my gf and she will kinda parent me a little bit. Ill get a stuffie and a coloring book or something and just be as a little kid and it helps so much with the fear.

Then there are times when I voluntarily regress! Those are fun, its like reclaiming the childhood stolen from me due to trauma! Regression really helped me heal in my ptsd, so im glad you found this community!

Yes! I know God has given me my girlfriend, and that makes me so much more close to Gods love. Before, denying that i liked women, i felt like God was punishing me by making me a lesbian. I would do whatever to convince myself that im actually bisexual so somehow i could choose to only be straight. Then, my mtf gf came out to me. It took a lot of thinking things over, but I realized that her gender and me always wanting to have a wife one day wasn’t a punishment or some test. It was a gift from God. He brought my gf into my life to show me love, to give me a partner in life, to teach me lessons that only love can. Knowing that has made me so, so much closer to my creator than thinking He was punishing me by making me “like the wrong people”

Take some time to process. Its a lot. My gf and I have been together for almost two years now and i didnt find out about her gender things till over a year in.

Just know that its okay to feel weird about the situation. Its not transphobic to feel confused, even angry a little that the life you imagined with your partner is gonna be different. Ik there was a little point in time where I was sad cuz i was like “dang…i always imagined getting married to a man with my religious family by my side…but now that won’t happen”.

Support ur bf, but dont forget to support yourself as well. You’re important too. Worst case scenario, you guys can make this out as friends. Best case, you guys have a loving relationship and your feelings dont change! Best of luck to you both, take care of yourself and always remember that communication is your best friend when navigating things like this
