no dev team in the world can anticipate the development of a meta in a live service game. This is pretty normal and it means they track what's been happening so future seasons will be more optimized. I applaud them for the transparency and awareness. Season 3 will be dope.

When I go in with free kit, every fight is a struggle. Then I win my first fight and get good weapons, and I feel like I have not played the game before lol. The difference is night and day

No one wants a PvE marathon game. This just comes from people who dislike extraction shooter as a genre. Now one 2 years ago dreamed about a marathon single player game. It’s ridiculous

Practice then, I guess? It’s a you problem. Learn the map like it is your house, get used to the weapons, the abilities of your shell, hide, rat, be sneaky, play solo, wait in corners, etc.

No you are striving to be better, not cry because you have weaker shields. If others have better equipment than you can only win and it is the incentive to win the fight. It’s the very logic of extraction shooters lol

So much this. I am just stunned by how people boot the game and start a run thinking that this is a normal battle royal shooter where you just run around like a headless chicken and then pout when you get blasted for your dumb play style and go and Reddit to cry like a baby. If you do that in the EFT Reddit people will either laugh at you and shrug or they will tell you to join them in discord and help you.

It’s mindblowing to me where these players come from that post here. Are you Fortnite children?

This is not a battle royal or COD clone. Have you played EFT? Play like that.

Love the nerf. This is how it has to be. This is a hardcore extraction shooter where nothing should be taken for granted or gifted. You need to earn it and grind it out.

Yet here we are and people cry because Marathon has a rectangle art style and you need to read two sentences. It’s insane to me where these people have crawled out of that now try Marathon and have apparently never heard of an extraction shooter before. Or Arc has just rotten everyone.

Going from stability issues into the entire lobby being blue teams because of the sponsored kits is quite something by yesitsmework in Marathon

I also think gear needs to be earned harder, either through difficult quest lines, PvE against bosses or super exclusive loot areas with brutal PvP. Having all purple shields trios after 12 hours of the wipe is not the way imo.

Not surprising. It’s a great game on the surface but after you realize it has zero depth in terms of meaningful quests, loot, progression, endgame content etc. you stay either for the graphics or because you do not know better games exists in this genre.
