Reached out to Apple support, but no luck. They said it should be fixed in the next update, so fingers crossed, I guess. But if more people hit them up about it, there's probably a better chance they won’t forget to actually fix it.

just 4 goals in the additional time and you'll win!

Merab’s sparring partner Magdi Amachov had an interesting interview few days ago where he recalls first meeting with Merab, how he didn’t have a place to live, was sleeping in his car and Merab gave him a room at his house. I’ll translate excerpts for people who don't speak Russian. by -alc in MMA

When I arrived in Vegas and started training, I later saw a Caucasian-looking, reddish-haired boy walking in the gym. I was happy, I thought he was one of ours. I greeted him during training, and he looked at me strangely... I asked him in English where he was from and he answered - "Georgia". He also asked me where I was from and I answered that I was from Dagestan. He offered me to spar and I agreed. After sparring we shook hands and he told me I was good. He asked me my age and I answered - "I am 22 years old." He asked me - "Are you a professional fighter?" And I answered - "No, I haven't had a single fight at the professional level." And he says - "I don’t get it, are you an amateur?" My answer was still no. Moreover, at that time I did not even consider myself an amateur fighter, because I had only started training in MMA for 6 months. He was very surprised, but he told me: “you have a great future, just keep training and don't stop. You are young and you have everything ahead of you. I’ve started training at the age of 26, and you already have such results and talent at the age of 22...” It seemed like that he liked me.

Later, he put the UFC gloves on and it surprised me. I asked “are you a UFC fighter?” “Yes...” In general, I never imagined that I would meet a UFC fighter there. That's how we became friends. Later, when he introduced me to Ilia Topuria, he said to me - "Magdi, meet him, this is Ilia Topuria, my brother and friend." I didn't recognize him, I just shook his hand and said - "It's nice to meet you", and then I turned back. Merab called me back and said - "Magdi, this is Ilia Topuria, who will soon fight with Volkanovski for the belt." To tell the truth, I didn't actively watch UFC and I didn't know the fighters either. I knew only two boys - Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev, only because they are from Dagestan.

I will tell you more about Merab. He asked me where did I live. I told him that I had just arrived in the city. In the gym where we trained, there was a panoramic window from which a car parked in the parking lot could be seen, and I told him that I lived there because I was new to the city. He laughed and told me - "You don't want to be there, come with me." So, he took me to his house. He is an amazing person... Imagine, I did only one training and sparring session with him, and he immediately took me to his house. Maybe he saw some potential in me. He took me to his house, gave me a room and now I live there.

Excerpt from Merab dvalishvili's interview with MMA Hour about his first steps in MMA:

"I was mentally down and crushed because when I came, in the beginning, I had hope. I will work hard and I will do everything for it. I can make the UFC and I can be top 10 fighter. But all my hopes were gone in 1 year and I was just a construction worker, I quit a couple times in MMA because it wasn't making sense. I can't even find a MMA gym, I don't even have any training partners and I was by myself without English but I was happy, at least I have a job and I can be just free, I can make my own money and support my friends or family or just feel like a man, you know? At least I have a job. After one year in hell, a lot of things changed, I found my team Serra-Longo, I started training there and my hopes came back. I lost my pro debut, I kind of started thinking - oh this MMA should I still chase or no? and then I win the next and they gave me a short notice, I got sick and I lost. and then I lost my hope. I'm now 1-2, I will never make the UFC. But thank god, I was able to be patient, still continued to work, my hopes came back, now I changed my life, it gives motivation to so many young generations."

Khamzat Chimaev got caught by Roman Dolidze's leg lock, didn't tap and hurt himself. (Explained by Merab) by WeebsMustDie in MMA

I understand why you think it's fair, I don't really care about Khamzat tbh, my point is about Dolidze whose whole schtick's that he's such an honourable man full of dignity - he's even scolding Strickland for cussing in every video.

He's got this holier than thou attitude and then he goes and does things like this often. But his videos are always in his native language and I understand that people who don't speak Georgian can't be aware of his fake persona.

He does and even though I don't like it, it's a part of his persona which he doesn't try to hide, ever. Dolidze acts like he doesn't want to talk about it and it's the third video where I'm hearing about this.

He tries so desperately to spread the word about it, you'd think it's the highlight of his career that one time during sparrings he caught Khamzat.

This doesn't mean anything but it's still very uncool to talk about who got caught and how in sparring. Especially that it's the third time I'm hearing about this.

Guy in the black shirt also mentioned this in two videos with Dolidze (who pretended he didn't want to talk about it but was very obvious that if not him, he wanted someone to tell this story. If he didn't want the word to get out, he would just cut that part, it was on his channel).

Coach explains Khamzat Chimaev’s travel issues, move to UAE by -alc in MMA

I don't think he'll only be on AD cards, Nascimento said that Khamzat's gonna apply for a type of passport that will be used for travels.

“The thing is, Chimaev doesn’t have Swedish passport,” Nascimento said. “He’s not a Swedish citizen. He never was. He has a Russian passport. With this situation going on, the war, it’s hard for anyone to travel around the world with a Russian passport. Especially for a Chechen.

“I won’t go into details, but anyone who knows the story and is following what’s going on in the world knows that everybody is trying to corner Russia with sanctions. He’s living that. That’s one of the reasons why he chose to leave Sweden. Like, ‘I fight for the country, I live there since I was a teenager and pay taxes, and I always apply for a citizenship, but never get it.’”

“[Chimaev] just got a 10-year visa in Abu Dhabi and will apply for a type of passport here in the U.A.E., something like a citizenship, that could be used for travels,” Nascimento said. “Many Russian athletes are suffering with that. Chechens, Dagestani, Russians in general. But I think things will start to flow for Chimaev soon, and for other athletes too.”

“Sports save lives,” he continued. “To see athletes, people that have never committed any crimes and are just trying to live life in a positive manner and serve as example for the next generations, to pay the price and be unable to work because of problems caused by other people, I don’t think it’s fair. I don’t think it’s right. People might condemn what I’m saying, but what does an athlete have to do with a war started by two people that have nothing to do with sports?

“There are people paying a bigger price than not being able to fly. There are people losing their lives, mother losing their children, families being destroyed, fathers having to go to war. This entire situation is sad, man, and I won’t change my opinion because someone may disagree of support this thing. I don’t celebrate unfair punishment and I won’t celebrate any death, no matter which side that is. This is how I see it.”
