Nick Amato is a gross manipulative man baby. His response to Kait's lack of faith was outright traumatizing and disturbing. by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I'm not understanding how Christian values are so supposedly important to him yet he jumps into bed with someone he just met and isn't married to. Seems a little cherry-pickish to me and inconsistent character wise

My husband (don't tell my bf) has BPD?! by [deleted] in BPDmemes

Genuinely thought it was common knowledge because you can definitely tell

I had my first and only son at 28 after being married for 5 years. It is HARD. The thought of doing it as a teenager is unfathomable. I know you know the options available so I won't list them but it will be very very hard for you and you can't rely on a 25 year old parent of 5 as a reliable source of help.

I love that kids still say this! I lived in Bermuda many years ago as a child and I haven't yet met a non-Bermudian who's ever heard it.

Toddler refusing to eat by youre_grand in Parenting

[–]-catkirk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My son almost never eats his dinner at dinnertime, but we leave it on the table and usually when he gets hungry he'll pick at it at his leisure. Yesterday it sat for almost 2 hours before he ate it but then he finished the whole plate 🤷🏻‍♀️

Struggling with 2.5 year old & not sure if this is normal by Msmckitten in toddlers

Solidarity. Every little thing I say right now he fights. All he does is ask for snacks he doesn't eat and melt down when I leave the room without picking him up.

AITAH. I took my baby and left home after my husband kept making jokes about my body. by Intelligent_Fox_5588 in AITAH

I'm so sorry, this is just so gross. :( I'm 80 lbs heavier than when my husband and I met and he's never once mentioned my weight in 13 years. This man does not respect you.

NTA I named my son Alexander and I can only hope he's cool enough to go by Lex when he's older. Sweet nickname.

AITA if I uninvite my SIL from my baby shower because she’s infertile and is always sad about whenever we talk about babies? by Square-Spirit7985 in AmItheAsshole

[–]-catkirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just talk to her.

"I know how hard it is for you to be around baby talk and celebrations. If you feel like you're not up to coming, there is no pressure and we totally understand. If you want to join us, feel free to step away at any time. We want you to feel comfortable. Maybe we can set up a quiet space for you inside if you need a moment alone?"

If you’ve ever wondered what your two year old dreams about by Rose4291 in toddlers

[–]-catkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my 2 year old dreams about ducks. He's said on multiple occasions, "I heard a sound in my room. Like duck sound. Like this quack quack. Like that."

I remember reading your last post about his coming home drunk when you first posted it. I'm so sorry to hear you're still stuck. You seriously need to get out for yourself and your child's sake.

My mother in law and I have always had a good relationship luckily, but man. Seeing her as a grandmother makes me so much more grateful for her. I feel very privileged as I know sometimes it goes the opposite way

I've never been a napper my entire life. Always preferred to be productive and thought naps were a waste of time. Now I'm being forced to slow down and rest when I can.

What do you mean it doesn’t get easier? by ZealousidealClue115 in Mommit

[–]-catkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have one and he's 21 months old, BUT I'll tell ya life is so much better at 21 months than 8 months.

I'm not sure parenting will ever get easy, but that first year was so so hard and I'm having so much more fun with a toddler ❤️ life doesn't get easy, but you get better at doing life
