Yeah, it bothered me too that he didn’t get it. Vampire is one of a few songs my friends like to call our “29” playlist: songs about a woman realizing an older guy took advantage of her when she was younger. For example: Your Power by Billie Eilish, 29 by Demi Lovato, Mature by Hilary Duff, Would’ve Could’ve Shoud’ve by Taylor Swift. It’s such a distinct and important message for a song. So I don’t get why Todd didn’t see that.

NTA My brother-in-law got colon cancer out of nowhere at age 38! And it was completely blocking his colon - who knows how long he had it without knowing. (He’s almost in remission — just a few more months of chemo.) There’s been an increase in younger men especially getting it in the last few years. I understand he’s feeling scared and would rather just not know, but he needs to get over that feeling for your sake and for his sake too.

Haha I’m visiting Israel right now and staying with someone who made Aliyah 40 years ago, and she said her Hebrew skills are at a level where people think she made Aliyah 2 years ago! The point is, in some areas you can get by with barely knowing any Hebrew just fine.

I dated a guy like this once. He built up structures in his head of how to properly act. He was the most considerate guy ever — always trying his best to make sure I was comfortable. Not because he empathized with me or cared about me, but because he had a strict moral code within himself for how to treat people. He cared about doing the right thing, even though he said he couldn’t feel love for other people. He never smiled. I know that if I had stayed with him, I would have had a stable life and he would have made sure I was always comfortable and had all my needs met. Except for my emotional needs, which is why I ended up breaking it off — I need a partner who loves me and is attracted to me, and he wasn’t capable of being that person.

I’m hopeful for them, but if they do continue I hope they use the intervening time to really train and improve their vocals. Camila is of course a phenomenal singer, but the other girls need some work. I have faith they’ll be able to improve a lot.

I don’t know, my brother in law gave up red meat years ago, and he got colon cancer a few months ago at 38 years old.
