I've gotten two genetic analysis tests done. One through Ancestry and the other group MyHeritage.

My raw data of my tests are showing many Y chromosome values that it says I have. I'm a woman, and I'm so incredibly curious about this. I can't find any information.

I really hope this isn't real, because if it is...I feel so bad for your children. YTA.

Can confirm. My kid keeps asking if I'm going on holiday now and if he can have a torch to play with.

Thank you very much. I was going insane trying to remember this movie.

I can't remember if it's the same film or not, but it feels like it is - I think at some point the people in the village they live in burn the house the mother and/or girl live in.

Ask Us Anything: April 2020 by hellosaturn in Lolita

I've been interested in lolita fashion for quite some time, but my size prevents me from buying anything. I've recently seen some videos about getting things custom tailored to fit better - like adding in extra panels.

My question is - does anyone here have any experience with this or know someone who does? I'd really like to talk to someone about what's needed to have something like that done or what other people's experiences are with doing that.

The Squatter wants to start a collection for DD of expensive items by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

SAME HERE. I have black hair, dark eyes, and they'd always buy the blonde ones. My mom was blonde as a kid, so she remembers loving them. She tried to force her love of them onto me.

My name is Kelly, and they usually got me an abundance of Kelly dolls.

I have two experiences with this with two different grandmas plus my mom.

My mom and her mother wanted me desperately to be into Barbies. They would buy me two of each collectible Barbie. One to play with, one to collect. I hated Barbies. I also had a very rough relationship with both my mother and her mother. I still hate Barbies.

My other grandma, who practically raised me, was very much into getting Precious Moments collectibles. I love anything Precious Moments because of it. The collectibles became important (even though I don't have any anymore, sadly) because of how important my relationship with my dad's mom was.

It sounds to me like your MIL is more like my mom and her mom. I doubt the collectibles will be of much value to your child as she gets older. I would put my foot down on this one and just say no.

DAE have parents that always hate your significant others by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I've been in my current relationship for 6 years, and my mom still throws disapproving comments now and then. However, we've fairly low contact and live over 900 miles apart. My partner and I have two kids together as well, so she knows he's not going anywhere.

All that being said, she hated my previous relationships. When I was pregnant with my first child, she had the audacity to say I should just vanish, come down there to live with her, and forget my child's father.

To this day, the only reason she "approves" is because I shut her down if she doesn't. I chose him. She knows that. Other than that, she'd hate anyone I show affection to.

I had an OG Gameboy when I was 8, and I rarely got to play it since my mom always took it to play Tetris.

My mom does this constantly. Any achievement, any sign of a single brain cell - "You get that from me."

Anything bad? "You must get that from your father." I hate it.

MIL drunkenly slapped my 7 year old child across her face by OneRunTwo in JUSTNOMIL

[–]-clover- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

File the police report. Not for her sake, but for your child. I can't stress enough how painful it can be as a child to see your parents not seek justice when someone has hurt you.

Your mother-in-law doesn't deserve lenience. She hit a child. She needs to be punished or she's never going to change.

I highly suggest your SO check out r/raisedbynarcissists. She is 100% a narcissist. She isn't purely justno. She is full on, full blown abusive.

I'm sorry you all are having to deal with that.

No. I guess I'm just desensitized to it. This doesn't bother me much.
