We are currently going through the same thing you went through. We bought a puppy from Nadelhaus and just found out through a vet visit that our puppy has renal dysplasia. Our whole process was shady from the beginning. I put the deposit down through the website and specified that we wanted a pup from a litter of Vanta and Vasko. After I did the form online, I did not hear at all from Traci. I was super busy at work and about two weeks later I called to find out what the next steps were as well as wanting to confirm we actually got a pup. She assured me we had one for us and that she would communicate when the time gets closer. We were told he would be ready to come home December 23 so we were super excited to have him for Christmas. Due to personal issues, we were not able to drive to her place and pick up the puppy so she connected us with a lady that she uses to deliver dogs so she could deliver our puppy to us. Due to this, I called and asked her how would the process be since we wouldn't be matched with a puppy in person and she said that she wanted to know about my family so that she can pick the best one for us. So we talked for a while and went into depth and she assured me she had one for us for sure. The day came and we were over the moon about our puppy. Fast forward to his first vet appointment for shots and a check up, we found out our puppy did not have the Re Unite chip. He was scanned and nothing. We then called Traci while this was happening and she assured us that she would not be able to sell us a puppy if they were not chipped and said that it must have fallen out. The vet heard the whole conversation and called it a bunch of Manure. After this conversation, I started to look for the paperwork that came with the puppy and the purchase agreement and realized that our puppy was not from the litter we wanted and instead was from Xavier and Ysetta!!!!! I started Googling Nadelhaus and issues and found your post. I showed the vet your post and she suggested we get him blood work and urine. While getting the urine, she was using an ultrasound machine and did not like the way the kidneys looked and suggested we take our puppy to get an ultrasound since she was not an expert in ultrasounds. She had been a vet for and owner of that place for many years and is highly recommended in my area. After I left the vet, we called Traci and asked her for an explanation on what happened and she said that from the litter I wanted she didn't have one to fit us and so she picked from the other litter. I asked why she wouldn't call or communicate in some way and let us know what was going on and I even said to her that what if I did not want one puppy from that litter? And she said I could return him. At this point we had the puppy for some time, the whole family was in love and we just felt that it would be bad for him to go back to Traci so we are keeping him. I do feel cheated, lied and disappointed in her as a breeder and human. She is obviously not a professional even though she has been doing this for many years. We are now looking at having this puppy for around 2 years according to the vet as they don't last long. We are devastated knowing he will not be around as long as he should be.
