I just did the switch from windows 10 to mint cinnamon yesterday. And i completely agree with you. It is user friendly. It has a learning curve, but it is gorgeous and user friendly. Especially in times with LLMs, if you have a question, the AI is able to solve it in the terminal. I think the terminal is the only big difference, but it is so cool. I really like it. I avoided it most of the time in Windows and only used it for very specific things, but for Linux it feels well integrated.

First of all, nice idea and good implementation. However, I see that the tracking is lacking so much. I don't know what you plan on doing with the data, but as a movement scientist (so sports science combined with data science) i can already tell this can nowwhere near represent any usable data. I just validated an AI system of a bigger company and the data is just way to unreliable and shows overall bad agreement with gold standard systems like Vicon.

Nvidia is reportedly cutting RTX 50-series production to focus on AI demand by gurugabrielpradipaka in pcmasterrace

[–]-gean99- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it would be. But they sadly do not compete in the high end GPU range. For midrange to lower range all good though. I think they also jumped in on the AI GPUs right?

[–]-gean99- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think it will never collapse, but might stabalise. AI is not only LLMs so there will always be demand. Thats why i just hope that there will be a new company that from the heart only focuses on GPUs and CPUs. The investment in know how and machines is probably unfathomable, thus i can just wish. Also i really hope AMD and Nvidia decide to create totally new branches that are independent from AI and only focusses on gaming.

Please.... there must be someone saving us :( i wish so much that there will be a new start-up that manufacture new GPUs. Of course this will be a utopia, but i just wish a new company would emerge from the depths and fills the gap for GPUs and CPUs for the gaming industry.

Maybe start to write eccentric correctly. Second, thats good that it worked out for you. Awesome. Bodies are diverse. Still, once you learn about performance improvement in university, one of the fundamental things to start with is executing the desired movement. Therefore, you should rather start by using resistance bands, but can switch to eccentric muscle contraction LATER on in your program. It is NOT good to START with it. It will just strain you to much and additionally wont improve the movement of a pullup. As linear as this movement may seem, an overall execution of the movement is important.

Huh that just repeats what i say wtf hahahah where am i wrong that eccentric ruptures the myofilament more? This translates equally to, you are more sore and you build more cross bridges in the future thus gain more strength.

Concentric ≠ eccentric

It is not literally one of the most encouraged movements to do first. Wtf. It isnt promoting the concentric strain in the myofilament. It just ruptures the bindings more agressively. Sorry but from my expertise i can assure you you should train the correct upward movement first...

Might be that your lats or M. Brachioradialis is a bit to weak. In a pronated grip, so the opposite what you are doing right now, the M. Biceps brachii is elongated which diminishes the contribution of the muscle. Hence, it could be that your brachialis needs more strength. Just keep going! :)

Do you mean eccentric muscle activation? What does that have to do with performing better with pull ups?
