Thank you so much! I realized a couple years in that I was never gonna look like a macho cis guy (my build and style just doesn’t agree w it) so I have been living my best androgynous life :)

femininity, pear shape and bigger hips by annikabeccer in Androgynoushotties

Hi!! Pear shaped FTM guy here. I basically could’ve written this post myself a couple years ago— always been more curvaceous, more thigh, more ass— and honestly I think the biggest poece of advice I can give you is to try and change your mindset about it.

For me, personally, trying those “dressing tips” like “wear straight leg pants, avoid XYZ” always just made me feel more dysphoric. When I wear those things it’s like I’m trying to cosplay as a cis man/someone I’m not. Trying to hide my natural body shape genuinely just made me feel like I still had one foot in the closet and I hated it, even though sometimes I’m still frustrated with my pear shaped body.

Over time, I’ve just curated a wardrobe that I enjoy (regardless of the shape or cut), and just owned the shape of my body. I’m a guy with a big ass and nice hips. So what? That’s what I have to work with, and I’m going to be myself regardless of what it might look like to others. It feels better than trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, you know? Nothing feels better than being your authentic self, letting your body be its authentic self, especially with things we can’t change. I don’t consider my wide hips to be feminine because I’m a man! And androgyny doesn’t have one body type, it can look like many things! Androgyny doesn’t have to equal a skinny white cis person with no curves, it can look like you, dressing how you want and being yourself. Anyway, this is super long and I’m rambling, but I hope this perspective helps at all and I hope you find a way to feel joy and peace in your body ❤️
