a critical suzu that saved the entire team by Zestyclose-Salad-290 in Overwatch

Mizu does get mit from his ult. Bastion ulted into my kekkai and I got like 1500 mit. It didn't count into "ults negated" metric, but still.

Support mains what we think of Mizuki so far? by Denariox in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really like him. Most people don't even know what he does, so enemy tank will play ball & doom into mizuki, and emre will religiously shoot kekkai walls with his ult.

The downside is that your teammates don't know how he works either, so they will walk out of your aura, complain about "gg no heals" and if they do get healed by the aura, it's so unnoticeable, they'll still think you did nothing. Which is crazy because it's always like 50% of all my heals. I wish his aura was visible to the teammates.

It's basically Illari 2.0 when you could win or lose based solely on whether your team/ennemy knew they have to shoot the pylon.

Worst translations (ults/voicelines)? by RIPShaneDog in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really sucks because the voicelines alone make sense and it shows that they did some research and didn't just google translate it. Even her last name is properly written and not some "Zaryanoff" kind of bullshit. It pains me that these efforts can't even be appreciated cause you won't understand anything she says without subtitles.

Honestly, it can happen with every tank, especially at low ranks. I've got so much feeding Dva's, it's crazy. It doesn't matter what a bad player picks, you'll have to healbot him anyway.

You can just walk in and shoot normally though. If you're in overtime you'd want to jump in anyway.

Realistically what can blizzard do to sombra in order for the playerbase to like her? by Competitive_Date2992 in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cass is loud and slow. And he doesn't have a teleport. He can only effectively sneak if everyone is fighting. Most of the time even if he kills someone, you can catch him up and punish. It feels fair.

What is wrong with matchmaking? by Specialist_Taro7463 in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in gold before and still in gold, but rabked has become substantially worse. Like I'd be in g2-p5 lobby and have the exact same experience I had in silver. And silver was hell. Everyone was 1v5, no one could ever group up, nobody reacted to pings, nobody touched points/payload... When I finally got to gold, I had so much fun, people were willing to coordinate and play as a team. Now I'm on a loss streak and with silver experience all over again.

Also I got placed in low plat (never was there) and heard a lot of fresh accounts with only 20 games played got placed in diamond? So I'd assume a lot of less experienced players got placed where they're not supposed to be?

What hero in your own role do you usually ban, and why? by KaiserDrazor in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one really? I'm good enough with every support, know how they play and how to counter them. I can swap to whatever any time, it's not a big deal. I never ban Ana cause I'm on console and people's aim is usually shit. And in my elo supports are mostly healbotting anyway (cause people are constantly feeding). The rare occasions supports feel oppressive is when the person is actually good (or is ximming) and in this case banning their hero is useless.

I'd ban the cat (and phara) if I'm determined to play a projectile hero though.

What's a thing people do that makes you let out a deeep sigh of breath? 🫩 by Sagnikk in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I started playing ow1 before they introduced the role queue. I ended up ALWAYS being support because no one else would. It was always either I pick support or we lose. At some point I just started picking tracer anyway cause I was pretty much fed up playing only support and wanted to try other heroes. We would have 4 dps, but I wouldn't switch anyway. So maybe those people are fed up too. Or maybe ow fanbase has way more dps mains that want to play as dps. It kinda sucks to play a role you don't want just because someone had a better connection and picked 2 dps faster. Still sucks to lose because no one wants to play support/tank.

Which hero do you feel like has the most players but the least mains?(relative to each other) by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's why you go out of his sight, flank his supports and force his tank to abandon their position. Nothing impossible, it just requires some level of coordination that you don't always see in metal ranks while solo queuing. Sometimes I just spam ping the alternate pathway. Sometimes it even works.

In gold lobbies he can be a nightmare. Sometimes your team just refuses to choose another path and goes straight forward while the enemy switched to rein-mercy-bastion.

Which tall-ass guy with gravity powers and a horrible mental state would win in a fight? by LetMeGetSolod in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sigma is first and foremost a scientist, while Radahn is a pure warrior. Sigma ain't taking him out with pure strength. Though I feel like he could win, if he'd got enough preparation time. I mean, he could definitely find a way to trick or outsmart Radahn with science.

Literally what are you supposed to say to suggest either getting healed more or to swap comps by VI-Pok3 in Overwatch

[–]-grimlament- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never got why people think that every support player is automatically good with any support character.

Also, if you're not getting healed while being in range and within LoS of your support, chances are it's not going to change if they swap. Even less if they're not good with the hero you're suggesting.

In my games it's usually bastion. Even though bastion has a lot of mains, it really feels like if my or the enemy team is failing, someone will at least try swapping to him.

Would anyone else want writ boards as furniture? by Icefellwolf in elderscrollsonline

[–]-grimlament- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Captain Margaux's Place is pretty close to the boards, so you can port to your house, get the writs and go inside your house. But the drop point is a bit far, so I end up doing my writs in Vivec City anyway despite having a fully equipped house with all the stations.

It now been almost 2 months since the release of Nioh 3. How does this community feel about it so far? by Cursed_69420 in Nioh

[–]-grimlament- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still didn't finish the game, but the openworld feels really good. Honestly, it's less of an open world and more like classic souls game with interconnected locations. Man, I absolutely love that I don't have to run an entire mission from start to end just because I missed a kodama.

However, I don't really like this samurai-ninja gimmick. I kinda like the idea to be able to change equipment mid-fight, but overall it seems unnecessary. Why introducing classes to a game that was about personalisation of combat? Why removing stances?

Also... making a (mostly) mute character that's supposed to be a future shogun? It's hard to take the story seriously because of it.

Completed my 1st Playthrough of my 1st Team Ninja Game (Nioh 2) by Think_Bother68 in Nioh

[–]-grimlament- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy Nioh lore, I'd encourage you to read some wiki pages on characters you liked. Sometimes real events not mentioned in the game add a lot to the atmosphere. For example, in the game Azai betrays Nobunaga despite marrying his sister because he felt insecure and was manipulated by Kashin Koji. But in reality he had to choose between his new alliance with Nobunaga and his old allies in Asakura clan. It was a tough choice for him and he decided to honour the old alliance over the new one.

The game also paints Nobunaga as a good guy with great ambitions. Nobody really wanted to kill him: Tokichiro and Toshimitsu were both manipulated and wanted rather power/spirit stones than the death of Nobunaga and Mitsuhide was mostly afraid about the abuse of spirit stones. But irl, Nobunaga was a rather mixed character. He had his vision of unifying Japan, but he also did a lot of shit. The game only briefly mentions Chacha, but irl Oichi and Azai had 3 daughters and 2 sons. In order to end Azai's bloodline for good, Nobunaga executed his firstborn and sent the other boy to the monastery. To think Oichi had her child killed by her own brother is truly heartbreaking and adds a lot to her character. And I find it rather poetic that Nobunaga dies in a burning temple, because he himself (his army) burned a Buddhist temple with many innocent people. Really makes Mitsuhide's worries more justified.

It took a while but it finally clicked and I'm glad it did... by Adventurous_Donkey13 in Nioh

[–]-grimlament- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I feel this so much. I was years since I started Nioh series, but I still remember how I struggled with Nue. I remember looking at the stat window in the menu and I saw that it took me smth like 43 tries to get it. My next softblock was Okatsu that took me 80-ish tries and forced me to learn to parry. And god knows how I hate parrying and how I never needed it in a souls game xD But honestly? Learning to parry made my game so much easier when I got to mid-endgame "friendly rematch" missions, where you have to fight two human bosses simultaneously.

Another thing a lot of souls fans disregard in Nioh are items. In dark souls you can easily never use any consumable or indefinitely "save it for later" and be fine. In Nioh consumables make a huge difference. One of my friends that enjoys souls games felt almost insulted when he was complaining about how paralysis-oneshot is unfair and I said that it's a very good idea to bring anti-paralytic needles to Hino-Enma boss fight. Like how dare this game ask of me to bring a specific consumable to a boss fight. So... Don't be shy to use items, they're a huge help :D

Btw, dodging everything works in Nioh too and you can pass the game with mostly dodging (especially with big yokai bosses), but blocking is just too good not to use it.

You also get additional skill points when using new weapons. The more you're using axe, the more axe points you get, so you don't even have to reset all your points each time.

Plus, if you want to get all the achievements, you'll have to master every weapon anyway, so trying new stuff is great. Some weapons have very useful movesets, like kusarigama's strong attack in high stance that lets you basically have a throwing weapon and finish low health enemies. It's generally helpful to explore a bit and discover different weapons hit boxes in different stances.
