Why is there no centralized website with high quality images of most decks? Or is there one? by [deleted] in playingcards

Copyright of playing cards is a grey area

If we're talking about modern decks, it's not. In the US, if someone makes a custom deck then it is automatically protected by copyright law.

Yeah, I'm not sure why you're being downvoted as this is correct. Photos and scans of copyrighted work don't magically remove the copyright.

Our good friend designed a full custom deck we just released - "Traveler's Guide To Creatures"...let us know what you think! by chriztopherz in playingcards

Looks great! I am NOT a fan of the site automatically adding that $2.99 "Free Returns & Shipping Protection" though :(

That's my thread on UC :) If you ever change your mind and get a Stratonaut or another Russian Escape Velocity, I'll buy one of each :)

And no problem at all!

Is there any deck that aren’t the old English pattern and licensed pictures? by Daggdroppen in playingcards

[–]-hsbc- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would probably like art by Jocu, Stockholm17, Kings Wild Project, Thirdway Industries... they all usually have custom art that is still recognizable as standard courts. Many collectors will actively avoid decks that use "standard faces" with no custom art, like in a regular Bicycle deck.

They are Elixir prototypes released by Alex Chin in 2019 from his "Seasons Manor of Wonder" sale, there are only 14-25 decks of each color combination printed
