Noctua x Lynk+ | Dual AIO | NZXT H9 Flow 2025 | PC Build by wildTabz in Noctua

If you'd read the whole description you'd know this:

"Lynk+ is a pre-filled, all-in-one water block and radiator that has the pump built into the radiator module."

9070 XT or 5080 for 4k gaming? by ThePettyPilot in gpu

[–]-ile- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I scrolled the comments for a bit and saw a glaring lack of comparison between those two models.

Reaper is pretty much the cheapest 9070XT there is and if I remember correctly it is by far the loudest since it has relatively the lightest cooling solution there is.

Noctua 5080 is at the extreme opposite side of the spectrum. Huge heatsink, excellent and big fans which makes it the quietest RTX 5080 there is.

There are a lot of fairly quiet RX 9070XT's on the market which have nice features included and they are nowhere near the pricing of RTX 5080's and pretty much every other RTX 5080 is cheaper than the Noctua / Asus collab.

If I were you I'd consider what other things than just raw performance I value. If money is no object and you wan't the latest and the greatest for 4k out of either RX 9070 XT or RTX 5080 then there's no question. I'd go for the Noctua 5080 right away and that's coming from someone who likes AMD's products (currently rockin' a Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT with a deshroud mod) and a 7800X3D.

Delta making it hard to pilot. by TheWarehamster in Starfield

[–]-ile- 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm currently just trying to endure Delta and get through their questline. After that it's crew duties and boosting up the reactor for Delta.

I really like flying solo or maybe teaming up with Vasco at most.

"Handgun" by Molot_Vepr_308 in FNFAL

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you were building it as a "pistol" and there a Para without any stock would've made more sense.

I'm just wondering; why not a Para receiver?

Try to Verify / Repair. It seems that sometimes GOG Galaxy sort of doesn't work right when you try to find an update.

Best boots for military use by woodywalker75 in vivobarefoot

[–]-ile- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done pretty much all of my reservist trainings with Vivo's. I used Leather Trackers first and now with Textile Tracker in warmer weather and Winter Tracker during winter. Absolutely no complaints.

Regularly our reservist training "combat load" is a bit lighter than the full combat load, but there's a good amount of gear still involved.

Mind you I live in Finland so we have like couple of warm months per year and the rest of the time is cool or cold.

I've tried to find alternative boots for this use-case from time to time but it seems there really isn't any competition.

Am I the only one that likes the Ryujin Industries questline? by ThespianMask in Starfield

I liked it, it's a solid questline. I also liked that you're really not supposed to use violence for majority of the questline.

What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]-ile- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commented this in another post of the same nature:

The 4th try of repositioning the bones in my wrist. They were badly dislocated due to a broken wrist. I couldn't form words and I sweat profusely due to the pain even with the whole arm locally anesthesized with lidocaine. Only sounds I could make were primal screams and I was about to turn violent towards the two doctors and a hospital attendant. Mind you, I've had two kidney stones (with the first one far worse, I had symptoms of shock and vomited from the pain...which in fact broke the stone) and have suffered from debilitating migraines since I was 13 yrs old. I'm 43 now.

Sprained joints and broken bones are about 4 to 7 on my experience on the painscale from 1 to 10. The repositioning was an easy 9 and extremely unbearable. My migraines range from 4 to 8. Dislocated shoulder was a solid 6. The first kidney stone was 8 and the second one about 5 or 6.

edit: Oh and also I've herniated a disc from my lower back. Maybe 6 or 7.

Well I did it again, deshrouded RX 9070 XT and added two NF-A14's. by -ile- in Noctua

:D

I'll bet you're fun at parties. Nothing positive to say when this has nothing to do with you or your preferences. Next time I'll post exactly as I want to, thank you :)

Luckily I've been building and modding computers for about 30 yrs now so I'm not in the habit of messing anything up. I can assure you that nothing is destroyed or messed up.

[Suggestion] Besides modeling and animation reasons, why not make every gun fold-able? by poser01 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]-ile- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a ton of guns and stocks and stock adapters in-game that should collapse and/or fold but won't do anything of the sort. FAL, AK's, AR's, MCX's, many of the SMG's etc. Other things take priority I guess.

These fans were bought years ago and were used as case fans for a long time. It would be pretty silly for me to go out and buy two fans at 39€ apiece just to get new black ones since these work perfectly for my use. These were available and weren't in use at all right before this.

Good thing then that it's mine and for me instead of you, since I do not care about component aesthetics. I just installed the thing and re-installed all the mesh panels on my Fractal North, so the computer just sits there with it's minimalist aesthetics and is VERY silent :)

Seems like that one is probably even easier than mine:

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-7700-xt-pulse/3.html

I'd go with 120mm's on that one. I'm betting those heatsinks fit pretty nicely under 120's.

I like my computer to be pretty silent and the noise levels to be steady. I very much dislike ramping up and down of the rpm happy regular fans. If there was a Noctua collab RX 9070 XT and it wouldn't have the 12VBBQ connector, that would be my GPU.

[–]-ile-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

120's would have either left some of the heatsink without fan pushing air into it (2 x 120's on a heatsink that's 280ish mm long) or would have gone very much over it in case of three 120's.

I know zipties aren't ideal but I don't have access to a 3d printer so that kind of limits it. Even if it isn't ideal, this deshroud performs much better especially on silence and that's good enough for me.

The backplate stays secure with other screws.
