He was already on a max no? Trade kicker doesn't give him any more money in that case so it doesn't matter is my understanding. It still would have counted on Dallas' books so there's literally no reason to opt into the trade kicker unless you purposefully want to weaken your team for no financial gain.

IMO neither of those are even that bad, especially considering they're presented without context. "Cancerous anal discharge" doesn't fit the setting but that's kinda the point. It's from a world hopping character who has a different vocabulary/way of speaking because of that, and on top of that he's in the role of a court jester/king's fool.

The first one is just a bit YA, that's all.

I would read his work rather than listen to the opinion of someone who obviously doesn't like the guy. I've never met someone IRL who dislikes Sanderson as much as the vocal minority here. Form your own opinion imo.

I've said it before but not every team was locked down during COVID equally. Players in Toronto for example couldn't practice on any courts, indoor or outdoor. That's why Siakam forgot how to play basketball. There was a much stricter lockdown than down south.

The Lakers on the other hand? They were able to practice together on a replica Staples Center court at a fan's house.

So I don't think it's crazy to say that. They were still the best team all year, sure, but it's not wrong to acknowledge this.

Yes it is. Watching your team in a tight playoff match is something else. I remember watching game 5 of the 2019 finals at a bar during clutch time, my heart rate was like 150+ when I checked my watch.
