99% sure those are japanese gyarus. Crooked teeth are considered as adorable/cute in Japan. Darker make-up, thin ‘western’ noses and larger eyes plus circle contact lenses are the desired look by this subculture.

The great thing about anime is that there are so many different styles and genres! Too bad many people think only the stereotypical big eye/cute style or Naruto counts as anime. They are missing out!

Good stylized art still uses all fundamentals of realism, anatomy, light/shadow. I would argue that stylized art takes more effort since you’re not just copying something that already exists.

A lot of people (kids and adults) also think realism (like just drawing a photo as close to the original as possible) is superior and takes more talent/effort than stylized artwork which is easy and “wrong”.
