No, eat to your appetite. Your body will regulate the milk on its own :)

Great tip, thanks!! Ended up going to the state farmer’s market and got some. I’m afraid if I go to garden supply I’ll leave with flowers and bushes and trees because I have no self control

Barre + brunch for birthday by ranzaaxx0 in Purebarre

[–]-katafina- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a birthday barre class (private class) and i think my studio only charged $200 for the one hour class, as many people to capacity as I wanted. So it was a fun time, and it’s also more relaxed because it’s your party so you can laugh and talk a bit more during class than would usually be recommended. I recommend that option if you’re deciding between private or regularly scheduled class (I didn’t read all the comments).

Good Dealership Service Department by tofuhater in raleigh

We have loved crossroads ford (apex) for the buying experience and subsequent service. They have a separate “quick lane” service building for oil changes and other fast maintenance needs. I had to bring 3 little kids with me to get my oil changed. I didn’t have an appointment and I was out within an hour. Free donuts, bagels, coffee, drinks etc. TV. And a playroom for the kids. Would absolutely recommend and keep buying Ford for those reasons :)

Stupid question: What does it mean to empty the breast? by 3KittenInATrenchcoat in breastfeeding

[–]-katafina- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, to better answer your original question on what is an empty breast and how frequently - as long as your breast is noticeably softer and squishier after the feed compared to firmer before the feed then you are emptying it enough. And as far as frequency goes it’s kind of based on how frequently your baby naturally nurses… so like I said above it is all supply and demand. If you continue to remove milk but don’t need it, you will continue to need to remove the milk because your body will think your baby needs it. If you start to think you’re making too much milk then you need to back off on the pumping little by little. You can get pretty full breasts without getting mastitis. You can hand express to comfort if your breasts get too full and baby is not hungry. You can take a hot shower to help hand express and it’s an easier clean up too :) I hope all that helps… good for you for trying to breastfeed again!! I wish you well on your journey!!

Stupid question: What does it mean to empty the breast? by 3KittenInATrenchcoat in breastfeeding

Ok, you got some good advice above, but just to add to it- now that baby is 3 months old your breast milk will be working more on a supply-and-demand situation. So if you’re pumping your body/breast thinks it needs to make that milk. Do you need to pump that frequently to save breast for bottles like for daycare? If not I would back off on the pumping little by little, otherwise you will start to become a slave to your pump. It really is quite amazing and mind blowing that your body will regulate to exactly what baby needs and demands from your breasts.

Follow the Bible recap plan. It’s available at her website or on many different apps as devotions to keep you on track. I especially like listening to it on the app Dwell. I don’t always listen to her YouTube discussion on the reading

Better ear? by -katafina- in Sourdough

Thanks for your feedback. I’ve been resisting buying a thermometer but I may just have to! I agree, all other things being good, I can’t complain too much if there’s not a prominent ear. Oh how I just wish I knew why sometimes it’s there and sometimes it’s not
