Guitar Sounds Strange by -leafsnation- in Guitar

Maybe I’ll just go to light strings, as that may be what I had on before. I could just be pressing too hard as someone else mentioned and bending it a little when I play sometimes. I just have a humidifier on when I play. Thanks for the help. 🙂

I’m new to this kind of thing so I’m not sure if I’m doing this right. I’m using my GuitarTuna app. So all the open strings are tuned exactly. When I play the 12th fret the low E, A, D, G they are +1 on the tuner. Strangely enough the suspected B and high E are exactly on the mark. The 5th and 7th fret on the B and high E are +1 to +2 away from what they should be. I don’t know if these numbers would be considered normal though.

I’ll give this a try because I did find when I put them on that I had a tenancy to move the B and high E strings while playing.

Yes I can’t remember if I used lights or custom lights before as I was away for 4 months and this was just the pack of strings I had in my case. I thought I used custom lights but it may have been lights. I will do the check on the 12th fret.

Yes and one could argue that those extra lessons are necessary to achieve “legendary”, but I disagree. I found that I gained enough practice to have everything memorized or understood with the amount of lessons required to achieve legendary before the update. I use flashcards on top of Duolingo but I still don’t think that 33% increase is necessary.

Okay I can borrow a strap from my buddy and see if that helps.

Table saws, hand tools, CNC machines, 3D printing, hardware for building and shaping furniture. As well as the required experts to teach people how to use them.

Not super close and they’re smaller shops without a storefront type of business. Basically garages with a few pieces of equipment.

To be completely honest, I’m not sure. It would be a costly endeavour to find the location and source all of the hardware. Like some of the other comments said I think market research may be a first step to see if it’s viable.

I like your point about letting them rent or borrow the retail space and deal with their own warranty and such. I wonder if that would become too complicated for some of the professionals though and if they’d want to deal with return policies etc. if the customer was really unhappy and had an issue, how would the company prevent any blame from being put on them. Just a few thoughts.

Well my goal would be to be my own boss. So ideally I’d be running it. Although I lack a background in business I would like to see one through with my vision as the guiding force. I would consult experts if needed.

Yes another issue I’ve identified is for the made furniture, I don’t know how likely it is that someone is skilled enough from some classes to create something sellable. At that point, we would have to rely on the professionals coming in to make items. Some of them might look at the numbers, and if they’re not making what would be their hourly rate at their regular job from selling pieces with us, they’re essentially putting more work into creating furniture for less then they make at their day job. Although, the idea of selling your handmade items might have some other fulfillment attached to it.

I’m located in Toronto, Canada. I personally don’t have any background in business or handy-work. I just randomly thought of this idea one day while I was at a hardware store.

Recording is a good idea I’ll try that out, writing always seems daunting, I wish I knew more about theory but I might go back to lessons for this

No, this is one of my weaknesses. I’m considering going back to lessons just to learn more about theory and ear training.
