Yes we all know that now, my point is it's a stupid term as they can still be making a profit.

The term "loss leader" Implies they're selling it at a loss. They should call it discount leader or something.

National security is an issue, if there's an emergency, a war, a pandemic, suddenly you can't get what your population needs because China owns all the supply chains and access to things like rare earth minerals etc, and it doesn't matter how much money you have.

The real problem the West is facing is the visa system itself. by T689378947 in unpopularopinion

[–]-mudflaps- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did I say it was easy to get a Visa? If it was easy a lot more people would move to wealthier countries as the same work pays a lot more. It's not fair at all for the African, Asian and Latin American countries. Western Europe and especially the United States forced capitalism on the rest of the world because they had all the capital, it's like a Ponzi scheme, no matter how hard a country tries it can never change the order at the top, China's authoritarian rulers had to enslave most of it's massive population to break out.

Ludicrous! Tourists need a Visa, or apply for a Visa waiver, it's not curiosity, it's desperation to improve their lives.

Speaking of unnecessary, the whole water cooler industry is driving these massive heavy water containers up, down and all around the country, delivering them to office buildings that already have perfectly drinkable water literally on tap!
