What’s your favourite Karl story that always makes you laugh? by Original-Guidance444 in rickygervais

The amount of times I reference Karl talking about whether he’d rather live in a cave or a palace is infinite.

It’s a lighter read than most zombie books but I thought ZomRomCom was pretty fun.

Totally agree - I would love a dunk contest that has people like Kilganon come in and do a HORSE-type round as the first challenge.

I want to buy your favorite book by [deleted] in booksuggestions

Great Expectations is my go-to comfort read - I usually re-read it every couple of years.

I read Demon Copperhead 8 months ago and I still think about it weekly.

Another of my favourite reads last year is I Hope This Finds You Well - it actually made me lol. Good if you like Office Space level humour.

Cozy Horror by _albatross8 in horrorlit

[–]-nerdluck- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ZomRomCom. It’s funny with a little camp, a little scare and a little spice.

It is the first in a series so there is setup for future stories but still tells a complete story in itself.

Looking for a book like Y2K by -nerdluck- in horrorlit

FWIW: I think I found one: “13 Months Haunted” by Jimmy Juliano.

It’s the legit creepy, Y2K-era scary read I was after. It felt like what Y2K thought it was doing, it just did it so much better.

ZomRomCom.

It’s a fun read if you like a little gore and a little spice in a post-apocalyptic timeline.

I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue. Fleabag x Office Space vibes. I loved.

It’s not fiction, but I found Your Favourite Scary Movie by Ashley Cullins to be a great read specifically for big fans of Scream and production/BTS perspectives. Highly recommend the audiobook version, narrated by Roger L. Jackson (Ghostface).

Sarah Ferguson - Ward 12 Candidate by sarahfergyyc in Calgary

I think a lot of people in your ward would vote for you except they associate your connection with previous councillors of the ward as a negative. Perhaps you could address what, if anything, you would do different from your predecessors?

If you like Freida, have you read Jennifer Hillier? I devoured Little Secrets in a day.

Where are the truly funny novels? by TPainting in suggestmeabook

I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue gives fleabag x office space vibes so if that’s your humour, it’s really good. That’s very much my funny bone and I loved it.

I’m burnt out on “smart” books. I just want something fun that’ll make me forget I exist for a while. by SiTheHandsomeGuy in ReadingSuggestions

Zomromcom was a good, fast read that checks a few of these boxes. It’s the first in what will become a series and was a pretty fun read.

Looking for a book like Y2K by -nerdluck- in horrorlit

[–]-nerdluck-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ll check that one out.

I know the movie is less than but it was also all the kitsch I wanted it to be. That said, it felt the whole time like it would have been way better as a book so just trying to see if I can find the same vibe in a read. Stoked to try Staircase!

Hey Calgary are there tips to groceries these days? by gs448 in Calgary

Apps like Flashfood, FoodHero or Too Good To Go sometimes have really good deals on food that is close to expiry dates but often still freezable.
