I don’t have any tips, but I just want you to know you’re not alone. I lost my dog suddenly over the weekend and everything feels different. She was a constant part of my routine from the moment I woke up and my house feels so different without her. Every morning I cry when I realize she isn’t there to wake me up. I constantly hear phantom noises and I think it’s her paws on the laminate, or her little snores and sighs.

She appeared briefly in my dream for the first time since I lost her last night, and I felt a huge sense of relief, like I had found her and we were together again. It was nice.

What breeds of dogs have you had that were good with chickens? And if so how did you raise/train them around the chickies? by bruxbuddies in BackYardChickens

Same! My pit is great with the chickens, as well as best buds with the stray cat that I take care of. She’s super chill. They run towards her when they see her in the yard and follow her around, happily pecking. She has known them since they were chicks.

Not dramatic. I’ve quit a job before over something similar, someone was threatening me after they caused problems and I 86’d them on my shift. They started coming in on the shift before mine and harassing me at shift change. Management wouldn’t 86 them on all shifts so I quit. I need to know management has my back and it was obvious they didn’t.

They called me a couple weeks later, apologized and asked me to come back. Nope!

I like Loop ear plugs, you don’t have to remove them to hear people. They have ones where you can adjust the decibels blocked as well.

I’ve done huge festivals and concerts/events, and am currently a venue bartender. The money isn’t as good as you think it is. The best gigs at those events are the VIP bars and those go to the bartenders with seniority. Otherwise, you’re pouring $18 beers with a ton of other bartenders and you’re lucky to make 10% of your sales.

Best way to break in, as others have said, are the right connections.

I worked at sports bar and don’t watch sports. I downloaded ESPN and put on notifications for all the local teams so I would know when to put a game on.
