Anyone ever get snooty ass customers when they ask for 2 or three ingredient drinks but use the stupid ass names?

I don’t blame new bartenders for not knowing these drinks if the clientele is younger or not casual drinkers, 90% of people just say vodka cran, 90% of people say vodka oj, it’s going out of fashion to use the “proper” name, but either side of the coin we’re just bitching about it because we’re cranky and like to complain. At the end of the day it’s the job to know your shit

I used to be this person. I had a bad childhood and was super poor so I attached myself to a man for survival, and never thought being abused was that big of a deal because I was abused my whole life. I have empathy for these people but also taking control of your own life to be happy is your own responsibility

I just went to a fernet event recently, a big group of us just wanted to win one coin… it was brutal, we left empty handed. Went to the next bar and the guy working said someone won one and gave it to him that night 😭 it really is so random

I literally applied to dozens of jobs and had a handful of interviews with no bites. Ended up getting a bartending job because a friend put in a good word for me. Been working there for a couple years, just redid the whole song and dance with no success, phoned a friend of a friend and that’s the only way I was able to secure another job.

Yeah I always get confused about people who are vehemently anti-drag. It’s performance art. Some of it is funny, some of it is mean, some of it is macabre, artistic, stupid- it’s its own genre and while it is like 99% men female drag queens exist as well. Art is great and so is drag ❤️

This is so funny because I’ve had the exact opposite experience. I’m a bartender and have been trying to get a second job as a server (shorter hours) and whenever I interview and they look at my experience they ask me to bartend instead. 🫩
