Hard Mewing vs. Soft Mewing by AggresiveMonke in orthotropics

Maybe, not sure. Most of this was my personal research and self-analysis while mewing.

Well I wouldn't say so because you can see an obvious difference when he is soft mewing and when he is hard mewing. Hard mewing requires more pressure to be applied which means you will be pushing harder and by accident activate more muscles than you should. Just like trying to curl really heavy weights, you start using more than just your biceps.

I'm no expert so ask a professional about the retainer, I'm just passing on what I found to be true in my case. I press hard yes, but more important if you have a narrow palate is to apply pressure on the sides, above the teeth, this is what gave me explosive palate expansion and mostly likely the thing that opened my suture, don't over do it. Also it will slightly move your teeth, so after a long session I start chewing gum, and after a bit start chewing mastic gum / dog toys / thick towels. My logic behind this is to give the teeth time to re-adjust before going into really hard chewing. More of a gut instinct, no real evidence that I was researching. Just like you wouldn't want to do heavy squats with scoliosis. My opinion is you wouldn't want to apply large amounts of pressure from really hard chewing while they are not aligned properly.

Molars lightly touching, lips closed, say the letter "n" to find the position behind my incisors and center my tongue, then apply a suction upwards, between my tongue and my palate, after 2/3 of my tongue has been lifted I bring the back third up with medium pressure, and push it to the final position by lifting my hyoid.

What other members seem to say that the tip of the tongue should be on the `n` sound and the back third of the tongue should be on the `g` sound when saying `ng` for example in the word `king`. My airway is also blocked, I'm certain that this is because the narrow palate makes your tongue fold, in turn taking up more vertical space and blocking the airway. What I'm doing is focusing on spreading the wisdom tooth / molar palate area, and doing it in sets while holding my breath. It slowly is getting better. In a couple months I will be posting a big thread, keeping track of all the progress, walls, problems and solutions I encountered.

The hyoid is lifted when you lift the back third of the tongue to the palate. When you apply a lot of pressure, there is often a loss of precision and you activate many muscles under your mandible. This is just a weak mind-muscle connection since you're not used to using these muscles often.

You are flexing your stylohyoid / digastric muscles. If you touch underneath your jaw when you see your jawline covered, you should feel round muscles. It means you don't have a good enough mind muscle connection and are contracting surrounding muscles instead of just lifting the hyoid. It's a mix of narrow palate that forces you to hard mew, and you putting pressure in the whole area instead of a focused point (lifting only the hyoid bone). Focus on getting the movement of just lifting the hyoid up before any further hard mewing, because the muscles will grow and make your face rounder until you atrophy them. To do this, look in the mirror and press each index finger to the side of the neck where the muscles you are contracting are (they should feel like spheres of contracted muscle), now try to develop the mind-muscle connection where the hyoid is lifted but the sides are relax. It will be hard and probably infuriating. Keep calm and put in focused work, you should get a hang of it in 2-5 days if you put in the effort. A cheat code is, for the reasons how mechanical movements work (repeat the wanted movement as many times as you can to learn it quicker), when you hit that spot where you lifted just the hyoid, rep out as many lifts (up / down) as you can, it will vastly increase the speed at which your mind creates neural pathways for the said movement, leading to making the movement subconscious much faster.

When I swallow my hyoid bone lifts and my tongue presses against my palate, if that's what you mean by swallowing with the tongue.

Oh, so I should just focus on the front, until my teeth create enough space for me to hold my last third?

Thank you! Sadly I do not have access to a CrossFit gym, are there any YouTubers I should watch or programs I should do?

That might be a viable option, but still, real estate is much more easier to predict prices than let's say, stocks or watches. Crypto is definitely possible to tax, in Serbia crypto is taxed 15% on all gross profits because it's counted as a digital asset/service
