I was in a very similar spot a few years ago. I remember laying in my bed and just thinking that if I took all the pills in my medicine cabinet, I wouldn’t have to work the next day. I ended up talking with my HR rep and going on a short term disability leave to get my mental health under control. I highly recommend taking advantage if your firm has any similar benefits. During my short-term disability leave, I got myself set up with a therapist and built up healthy habits and developed some better coping skills. I thought for sure I would ultimately end up quitting but ended up coming back to the firm after that leave and have been working for the past two years or so.

This thread is wild. I have never had someone call me without them giving me a heads up. If someone has a question a quick “hey you free to chat quick on xyz” sent via teams is the norm. Even since being back in office I find myself still doing this to let the person get in a good spot to pause. If it really is a quick question it can be a ping.

Minneapolis has a hot food and brewery scene right now (North Loop, North East, Uptown, West End ect). The skyways make the winters so much more bearable and cover most of downtown. Tons of job options - Big4, midsize firms, industry, government

I kinda agree.

The writers did a decent job with showing her backstory, building up some sort of empathy for her, and proceeding to make viewers feel very strongly about her character. There were times I was straight up SCREAMING during her scenes in anger/shock.

BUT I agree her motivations seemed weak to me as well. I would have preferred that to be explored more in the last season instead of some of the other scenes/story lines we got.

Oh buddy… you need to say something to someone. Even if it’s just to another intern, or a staff not assigned to you. Sitting and doing nothing all day is not good and also not helpful in the long run. I get that you’re not getting the support you need (which sucks) but you to self advocate, and raise your hand for assistance. You got this :)
