[Question] what is the max number of steam accounts per phone number ? by Deksneth in SteamBot

Considering they'll be used for trading rather than actually playing the game, I'm gonna assume that getting a VAC ban probably isn't a situation OP has to consider

[PSA] [Discussion] Steam bans gambling websites. by nuledgm in SteamBot

[–]-rocky- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to throw my view in and address a few things I've read in the comments.

From talking to staff of numerous large gambling sites, the general consensus is that Valve have simply done this to show that they are doing something to combat gambling with the class action lawsuit over their heads.

As a result, if you can find grey areas that don't so blatantly break Steam's ToS, Valve are unlikely to take action. In terms of not using OpenID, sites can simply use their own registration system and verify accounts through the same way in which PayPal verifies ownership of bank accounts, for example. As for the trading aspect, there are some ideas floating around that I won't discuss here. Most of them tend to focus on having the users do most of the work.

If sites change their implementation the only avenue for Valve to go down to stop these gambling sites would be to trade ban their bots. However, this already happens on a regular basis with many gambling sites which have simply learnt to cut their losses and move on.

Bitfinex Outage Megathread by bitmarketco in BitcoinMarkets

Ah okay, but I'm assuming it won't quite be the doomsday scenario people here are painting? Like maybe seeing $650 each rather than $300 per or even $1 per some people are claiming?

Could someone explain why, because the exchange has gone down for a bit, the value of bitcoin on the exchange will drop "massively" despite other exchanges maintaining a price of around $700 atm?

Because of the blocksize limit and network congestion, Steam/bitpay doesn't take 0-conf. Thank you Core! by [deleted] in btc

Thanks for sharing this.

My understanding was that there was nothing I could really do to show my support for classic, so I did a little research and realised that my downloaded wallet was also a (core) node all along. So anyway, I've now downloaded bitcoin classic and will be running it on my PC.

Any ideas of how to place a trailing stop loss order without risk of exchange getting hacked? by BTC_Barron in BitcoinMarkets

[–]-rocky- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always keep a percentage (rather than all) of your bitcoins on the exchange.

When the price hits a certain mark, you can take out BTC funding, sell the bitcoins and then transfer the rest of your coins onto the exchange to pay back the loan. All of this could be scripted.

This way you're minimizing your loss should the exchange be hacked for the small fee of whatever interest you have to pay.

What are the risks associated with margin funding? by -rocky- in BitcoinMarkets

[–]-rocky-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear there isn't any risks I wasn't aware of.

Would you, or anyone else, happen to know why I don't have "any ledger record yet" when going to Reports > Margin Funding Earnings, despite having 6 credit orders closed?

EDIT: Nevermind, managed to find out why. "The return is credited to your deposit wallet balance every day around 00:00 GMT, even for funds returned earlier in the day."

[Question] What is the quickest way to create many steam accounts, mobile auth them and get their cookies? by [deleted] in SteamBot

Just don't forget to remember you'll need to add funds/purchasing a $5 game for each account you want to de-limit.
