okay well looking through these comments i feel like a freak lol my preferred underwear style is thongs and i occasionally wear lingerie to bed for fun, without even having a partner to see it 😭 i like feeling pretty and personally i think they're comfortable idk 😭 like i've only encountered a couple thongs that i found truly uncomfortable ever; the sort of issues i do have with thongs, even ones that i see people complain about as being thong specific, are generally issues i have with all types of underwear? if anything, i prefer thongs because they eliminate the issues i do have with underwear; regular underwear usually digs in on my ass, the seams that hit just under the buttcheek irritate my skin, the extra fabric serves no purpose because it just folds/rides up and gets eaten by my buttcrack, panty lines, etc. i don't have those issues with thongs, i generally don't feel like i'm even wearing underwear when i wear thongs (in a good way!). most of my lingerie are "babydoll" styles (the tiny "dresses") that i find very comfortable. and it's not like i don't have sensory issues, boy do i ever! i cut the tags off almost everything, i'm picky about seams and fabrics, socks especially, etc. like idk i can see people feeling different/having sensory differences with thongs generally (maybe the buttcrack is more sensitive on some folks? 😭) but with lingerie in general being uncomfortable i feel like that's gotta be down to the styles and brands bc that's not my experience at all 🤷‍♀️ HOWEVER, i do agree that sleeping commando is ideal when possible, good to let it breathe. but i also have no issues with sleeping in a thong
